Default Any Automotive painters here?

ok, I sideswiped a guardrail a couple weeks ago with minor damage to my 'glass front bumper and a dent in my quarter panel. I'm no stranger to bodywork, so that's covered, but This time around, I've decided I'm going to do the paint work myself.. Just the front bumper and "blend" the rear quarter panel.

Only problem is I have not touched a real sprayer in 10 years, and the new HVLP one I picked up seems light years from what I originally learned on, but that was probably 1970's rejects then.. I've been spraying some water in it for practice tonight and the level of control is far better than what I remember.

Getting to the point, anyone have any suggestions before I go at it? I'll practice on the wife's car first with a chineese fender I picked up...

you will love the HVLP's, so easy a caveman can use them
im no caveman or painter, but i can do a good job with a HVLP
just be patient and do not overspray, light coats 20-30 minutes apart and you should come out looking pimp

don't shoot the clear at a temp of below the hardeners rating, or it will run on you.

follow the air pressure reccomendations, and mixing ratios to a T if you are a novice.

The new HVLP's are gangster compared to the old siphon feed guns (some of which are still nice)

any questions just ask me, I do it for a living...

Thanks guys. Since I don't have a booth I may have to wait until temps come up a bit, but I'll post questions as they come up.
