if you want to kill the resale and knock the ford motor mounts off, then replace with LSx, no.

Silver (GM Silver) PPG NGA7B

I might want a slightly darker silver though

I really want a cobra now, but to build a big block cobra the way I want I need about 30k.

I guess I'll build a fast FD, drive it until I get tired of it (a year usually) then sell it. As LS1 FD's in good condition fetch about 20-25k I think then I can maybe sell it and do a cobra.

if I find a good straight car I have the checkbook in hand....

I've also considered doing a rustoleum paint job on whatever I find, I don't know yet.

if I get a shell in the 6-8k range and a motor + trans for 3k plus 2k for install parts and 1k for misc, I should have the car done for 12-15k.

there's a car in MO with the swap parts, AND the engine, trans and wiring harness for sale, if I can walk away with it for 11k and the body is good it's a hell of a deal

do I want a primered car with most the **** for say, 11,000?

I'd need to have it painted or run a rustoleum job on it, fill the body dings, get a new front bumper, install the interior, replace the headliner, mount and wire the engine and trans and she'd be ready to rock.

my thought is the parts are worth:

5000 for the shell in primer
3000 for the engine and trans
maybe another 250 for the harness
1500 for the mount
to me the car as is would be worth about 10k.

I don't count the media blasting as worth ****, I'd rather have a car in paint and repaint later instead of first you know?

Do it. You'll be busy assembling all the **** for a while and if you don't like some of the crap you call sell it off. The price isn't bad and he might take $10k. Why not. Sell the goat already.

nah, I'd rather DIY it.

I'm going to pass on the sandblasted car, too much of a basket case and too much $$$.
