How did you get that?

In a nutshell,

exposure rate = (activity(A) * exposure rate constant)/d^2

However, the 2cm of lead will reduce the exposure rate constant by 2^-n, where n is equal to the number of half value layers. Radiation is attenuated exponentially.

d = 15cm (surface of bucket)

n = 2cm/.55cm ~ 3.64 HVLs

We know that we want the exposure rate to be no more than .05R/hr

Solve for activity A

A = (exposure rate * d^2) / (exposure rate constant * 2^-n)

PS My salary last year allows me to continue to drive my toyota echo this year. Holla for rollin tight whips. Look it up in my "how to win at life book"

If you're ever in Oregon, drop by and I'll introduce you to my girlfriend, and you won't be able to say that again.

That being said, with her school loans it's not like she's rolling in money.

And I work as a CNA. Basically a nurse that can't do shit with medications, and I'm not allowed to put anything in anywhere, and I make about 10% of what a nurse does. And even I'm surrounded by women.

THAT being said, this is not as good as you may think. They're all bat nuts.

Amen on all accounts! You continuing with school? I'm starting the nursing program this fall after being on the waiting list for over 2 years.

Sorry for the thread jack :)

Why the hell not? she works four on, four off, 12 hour shifts. She's garunteed the overtime, since it's her shift. There's a $10 shift differential which helps too. Money is money, and she gets it. Helps that the NICU she works in pays pretty well compared to other departments. She has only worked as a nurse for 2.5 years too.

Edit: I'll hopefully end with my RN BSN. Right now CNA 2 (stupid oregon thing) is my next goal, along with getting back on my own feet, and saving the ~$1000 for that class.

I'll just keep repeating myself. Because that's more time for the $.

BTW I think you forgot to mention that before they insert needles (long, wide bore ones) into your taint, they probe you rectally with an ultrasound. Actually, they are rectally probing you the entire time, so they know where the needle has to go.

I can almost hear you gays picking up the phone and booking "vacations" with a urologist.
