Honestly I just need to test my image hosting. Sorry if you've seen it. If you haven't see it, keep looking.

I normally try to avoid getting all sentimental, but the bell just tolled outside signifying the time of the north tower collapse. Made me think of this plaque, which is mounted at the very top of the UHF antenna array at the top of the 4 Times Square building, which was completed in 2003 to replace the array lost at 1 WTC.

Attachment 238888

Steve Jacobson was one of our guys, and was working at the transmitter on 1 WTC at the time.

They had a bagpiper playing in our office. A close friend of mine lost his father in the Pentagon attack.

Admittedly, no smartphone can match the ergonomics of a flip-phone for actually making phone calls on, but I find that the vast majority of what I used my "phone" for these days is much less making phone calls and much more checking email, surfing the web, etc.

Personally, I think there's still some room to grow. If I could get a device that was functionally identical to my GS4 but had a 7" screen, I'd probably prefer to have one of those as opposed to carrying two separate devices (a 5" phone and an 8" tablet) as I do now. Yes, it would seem ludicrous at first, but once the proper belt-clip was devised for it, I think it wold work quite nicely.

I jumped from an iPhone4 to the Note3. Except for pocketing I see all advantages. The iPhone now feels like trying to work on a 14" monitor, soooo restrictive.

pocketing a Note phablet is very simple. I pocket my Note II errday and it only falls out of shorts from Old Navy because cheap.

That said, I think I'll be downsizing to ~5 inches of phone next round.

I always question the size of my phone until I use my wife's iphone 5 and my thumb takes up the entire screen.

A 1937 Gibson L7. I rescued this about 25 years ago from a kid that had covered it in polyurethane. It sat in the case until recently when I finally had it restored. Standing next to a 1938 Gibson L7 with original finish (not mine.) Spooky.

Cool video on flow dynamics.

Thanks for that Triple88, makes me want to go back to school with an engineering focus.

The older I get the more fascinated I am by videos and information like that. Not going to lie, I had to rewatch a couple of the segments to grasp what he was talking about.

I liked the part with the 90 degree sharp corner pipe.
