im saying he spent time planning the shot. fetched cats. setup the camera, got it all planned out then somehow put a light stand in the shot and the attendant holding up a light was also captured. his creative genius doesn't excuse that sloppy work. it's not even exposed well...
Did it not occur to you he PLANNED for those things to be in the shot? Which is assumable considering the 37-38 takes they did. |

So because he planned out the shot, it sucks.

This is what 7000a will do to a piece of titanium with a bad connection.

Decided to take the ol' angle grinder apart. Actually, the cover comes off with 4 easy screws.
I see this. Tisk Tisk, Dewalt. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1445557837 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1445557837 Molybdenum disulfide grease is what it looks like, which is pretty good shit. But this thing is bone dry. Not a bit of grease on it... Ran this thing for years, pretty hard i might add and never bothered to check. Wear marks look good on the ring gear, pinion gear was hard to get a good look at. These are Powdered Metal gears too, the ring gear isn't machined, but the pinion gear is... Friggin weird man. Check your Dewalts. I'll be buying Makita from now on. |

Molybdenum disulfide is indeed good stuff.
Were the gears never greased, or have they merely thrown off the grease over time? Still, looks perfectly serviceable with a repack. Angle grinders, regardless of make, are damn hard to kill... Let's digress for a moment to discuss what passes for food in the 21st century. This is a hamburger: https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1445570180 Or, to be more specific, it is a bacon cheeseburger, slathered in some sort of sauce, served in between two pieces of fried chicken in lieu of a bun. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1445570180 Ready to hate America yet? https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1445570180 Well, it's Korean. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1445570180 Conceived, designed, sold and consumed entirely by KFC of South Korea and the citizens appertaining thereof. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...316bcd4cbf.gif |

Also, seeing stuff like this still blows my 1970s-vintage mind:
