Hard to believe that it's only been 35 years since the introduction of the Chicken McNugget. They seem to be such a fundamental part of American culture that it's hard to believe they were "new" during my lifetime.



Interestingly, while there are numerous patents on file relating to design and manufacture of nugget-shaped blobs of chicken, I can find none assigned to McDonalds. And this is a company which patents damn near everything.
