A horse walks into a bar.

The bartender asks him "Why the long face?"

Because horses cannot speak or understand spoken language, it does not respond. It looks around, decides that it does not like being in a bar after all, and then leaves.

Even after tuning it ran like shit. Car does click off 11.9x's though, which is pretty f'in quick for an ugly Ford.

Thats odd. From what I understand most people are slapping them on with the pre-made basemap tunes that come with the manifold and they run great, just like stock.

Sorry, I really wasn't trying to be a douche about it. I'm pretty frustrated with the device which was supposed to be a sure easy fix. Guess I got what I paid for. Fun will be had with it, though.

Is this fact, or opinion? I've yet to find any documentation of that, only a bunch of people with a similar problem and a bunch of "Experts" suggesting solutions which are totally bogus. Honestly, I would feel a lot better about the issue if I could get it reverted back to a 3.x OS, whether it has anything to do with the problem or not. . .

Not for long. . .

I've seen many reports of good results on that IM/Tune myself, just not in his case. Betting they might've done something wrong? His car was strong stock though. *shrug*

the could have easily built some sort of rail system that would have caught the car if it had fallen...

They said he could pull upwards of 6gs doing that loop-
Imagine the car weighed 2000 pounds and exerted 6gs on that rig they built. That's impressive! It didn't even think about moving!!

Braineack Jul 18, 2011 02:26 PM

I'm just sayin.

Oh no, I'm just saying that I'm really impressed at the rig they built. I agree about the rail or safety device of some sorts... Really looked like it wasn't gonna make it for a split second but motored on through FTW..

Braineack Jul 18, 2011 03:12 PM

I mean they's just need two rails that travel alongside the car, then some sort of railing around the edge of the loop that if the car dropped, it would simply drop onto and slide down the rails.

I finally bought a proper tool box:

$80 for China-steel from Sears. You can only go through so many plastic boxes before you man up. It also barely fits in the Miata trunk.

That's Saini in an MX5 Cup Car. I'd bet money the Miata was faster that day.

I first thought this was going to be a mod in the spirit of the original Carmageddon series...
