This was awesome. “Sweet Home Alabama” - The Leningrad Cowboys & The Red Army Choir (1993)
|
^
I once worked with a Russian guy that was a "military history nut" (a bit like myself) and he used to listen to Russian military songs on his headset at work. They were quite stirring (much better than any national anthem I've ever heard) even though I couldn't understand a word of them, so I'm not surprised how good the above clip sounded. |
Ah, man! I remember watching that performance of Leningrad Cowboys when it first aired.
Good stuff. Unrelated? https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...1df767978a.png |

Unrelated: 31 years ago, a man named Jeff Bezos posted a job listing on Usenet. It would be the first of many. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...a8fdef7e75.png |

The AC had lost it's charge over the last 15 years or so of ownership. After we changed out the orifice tube and dryer. I charged the system with air duster. (R152a) Ozone safe... Or so they say. $8 a can at harbor freight it's a little better than the $130+ a can for R12. Bonus, this stuff is safe to use with the mineral oil. Only needed a couple adapters for the lineset. I used to use Envirosafe, but that got to be too expensive too. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...4d7051d585.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...43d60b795f.jpg |

Unrelated, for those who follow whatever thing is causing faux-outrage at the moment, I present my rough draft of the new logo for MiataTurbo: https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...a065fae784.png |
I prefer my logos to be functional at spreading bondo.

it is. going from a single tuned ported box, to a dual sealed gave me a bit more peak dBs and a lot more low-end extension.
here was the last tune i did: https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...1be05d17a1.png |

$75 amp: https://poweracoustik.com/products/rzr1-2500d I bought it for my Tacoma to fit under the driver seat: https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...881c5e513d.png Now it fits perfectly in the space for my DVD navigation: https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...811498d67b.png https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...26d4d02cd0.png I couldn't get the Dayton DSP to work in the 911, tons of ground noise. So I replaced that with a refurbished JBL DSP4086 8 channel amp/DSP that actually fit where the factory amp fit. ~$200. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...4cec5f96d4.png https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...c9ca3dac0b.png https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...441bf34ac6.png https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...aee91aba45.png I have that running (2) L2-700 midbass, (2) PC105-4 mids, (2) AN25F-4 tweets, (1) factory center speaker, and the last channel is the subs. Cheap cheap cheap build. |

Going back to my T-LINE..i realized i screwed up in my calculations. my receipt said 4 foot pieces.. they were 3 feet.. so i went back to the store, returned the short pieces and got one big 10 ft piece.
I also printed a 180 degree. Here she is in all her glory. 10.5ft vs the ~7ft https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...e1162b2163.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...f19f7eaf7a.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...d98401fefc.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...121178bad1.png |
