The worst part is the fast & furious crowd seeing stuff like that and going, "Holy OMG so much raw power SUPRA guy has bawlzz brah!" When someone who knows what they're talking about says consistently getting your ass kicked while struggling to keep your undertired/poorly setup suspension car in your lane is asinine at this level of competition. If he gets into someone elses car I wouldnt be surprised if they threw him a beating. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1342383132 Attachment 239897 |

How about the space saver donut spare tires on the weightless steering end of the car?

It is definitely a traction issue not from the steering axle.
Could be a tire, driver or suspension problems. It probably help if he was a little quicker on the shifts, looks like hes unloading those tires pretty bad, but its got bigger problems than that. |

The point of the vids was to show a properly setup car vs. a 4 wheel wrecking ball. I couldn't believe he made that many passes and didn't get thrown off, let alone people actually lining up next to him willingly
Manual trans, IRS cars don't have be ice skating like people think. Trick suspension and proper rubber is key. For instance. Nearly the same speed as the car above, but not Brian Boitano'ing 1320ft and much, much faster and still controlled safely.

Guy walked away with only a bump on his head from the helmet. That's the corner at the end of the "back-straight" at mid-ohio sports car course. It's a 3000 foot straight (a little over a half mile) - fast track bikes can eclipse 205mph on that straight. That nissan was probably doing deep into 150 or 160 when the brakes went out on it. There's a reason they keep an ambulance on standby right there - I've gotten a free ride in it before. That corner looks so familiar because I've dropped the motorcycle twice there, both crashes probably between 90 and 110mph. It's f()cking amazing that he walked away from that crash with just a bump on the head - holy crap. |
Hans Devices and roll cages have totally changed the sport in the past 50 years.
