http://fortlauderdale.craigslist.org/mcy/706383760.html http://fortlauderdale.craigslist.org/mcy/705072818.html I have no personal experience with them, but I have several friends that use 88ish Hawk GT650s for track bikes. They're not super powerful, but they're TRACK MACHINES! Theres a big following of them, but damn they're expensive for 20+ year old USED Bikes!!! If I could find one for under 2000 I'd own it. You're almost better off with an RC51 or SuperHawk, Honestly. |

That's more my style... There are a few reasons to get a scooter over a bike, several were mentioned already. Plus: less likely to get stolen, easier to park and maneuver through traffic, cheaper to maintain, better suited to running to the store or short commutes. I think the only thing that could make a Harley worse would be the addition of a Wankel... or maybe a PC Pro. |
I posted the original post cause for whatever reason I'm on a scooter kick at the moment. I want something very inexpensive, great on gas (and to insure, etc), "different", and I can tinker with to make more fun/safe and not spend a lot of money.
In an ideal world I would be able to just put my old gocart Brigg's on a simple frame and register it. |
