So theres a large amount of Anime on Netflix Instant, and I have no idea where to being, sorta. Im watching Full Metal Alchemist right now, and Ive seen a few random movies, like Ponyo. Ive added Ghost in the Shell, a few of the movies and the first season. So any recommendations?

Anime is fucking retarded. Watch robot chicken or superjail if you must watch cartoons.

Full Metalk Alchemist is pretty lame, I could never get into it.

Howls moving castle is awesome and Ponyo was really good.

Ghost in the Shell 1 is epic.
Ghost in the Shell 2 (Innocence) is technically superior to 1, but is probably a bit over the top.
Death Note is intriguing, but I lost interest after several episodes.

Really, do watch GITS 1.

Death note was awesome to watch after they got into the story.

Yah, DeathNote gets super intense as the story progresses. It takes several episodes to get the characters defined.

Ive caught a few episodes of GITS on Adult Swim but I was always extraordinarily confused by what was happening.
I suppose I need to just start it from the beginning.

Everyone should watch the beginning of the first episode of Elfen Lied because its fucking brutal and epic.

I also like Bleach its a long series and its still running in Japan.
I remember with Big O came out right after one of the Gundams and i was disappointed. I watched a couple episodes and never really took.

Ive seen a few Bleach episodes, never got into it.

Elfen Leid, Darker than Black, Casshern Sins, Code Geass and Heroic Age are some of my favorites I've watched. Especially Elfen Lied, such a perfect series.

One that you HAVE TO WATCH. Angel beats. It's probably not on Netflix though. I fuckin' hate anime. My friend forced me to watch it and... DAMN. It. Is. Amazing. Only 13 episodes, so it won't really take all that long to watch, but holy god damn it's compelling in every way.

Surprising that the two car related shows I know of haven't been mentioned: Initial D and Wangan Midnight. Not all that great as far as the storyline, but hey, it's rare that any entertainment medium features the kind of cars many of us are into.

Not sure about quality of translation on netflix, you likely will get much better quality by downloading fansubbed version(check anidb.info ratings of releases of an anime).

Netflix streams to computers, 360s, PS3s, Wiis, and some other boxes.

hmm well, street fighter, nausica, project ako, vampire hunter D, tengou tenge, i dont know if they are on netflix but they are torentable and well worth watching.

I don't watch much anime anymore.....but Trigun is one of the best series I've ever watched. I'm not sure netflix would have it though.

Gundam, ghost in the shell, appleseed, akira, etc like others have mentioned are on the list as well.

Elfen Lied is great, especially if you are into quadruple amputee little girls. Seriously.

I recommend skipping the Ghost in the Shell movies and just watching Stand Alone Complex Season 1 and 2. Superb superb stories. The laughing man logo is on my car.

Initial D got me into drifting. Fun series.

Evangelion is awesome too.

I have the laughing man logo as my avatar on my club forum and everyone asks what it means, I just gave them a vague answer in the sign language, hah.

What's really awesome is when you think about the fact that even the songs were written for the show, and they're actually... Good. Not something I'd go out and buy and listen to over 9,000 times but definitely not bad in the slightest.

Oh, also Gantz. Great for constant peril and severed limbs. Including little girls with severed limbs. No quadruple amputees though.

I don't think i included this in my list up there but Serial Experiments Lain is a really good cyberpunk/mystery for all the tech nerd.

Lots of good animes listed already. I'm currently watching Soul Eater. That should be up on instant on Netflix I believe. I've seen all of Initial D; I'm going to have to check out Wangan Midnight.
