Default Maaaan. Why are clutches so expensive.

Well.....
I was getting ready to put up the car on Craigs
and the clutch is now slipping.....
And I DO NOT want to spend $381.82 on a clutch and then 250 for someone to install.
And I dont want to buy a cheap clutch for it either, then they will have to replace it in a couple months....
Anyone have a good used one?
Or know where I can find one cheap?

I have a 1.8 flywheel, clutch, and pp with only 5k miles on it, I will let it go to someone on here for basically the cost of shipping..

it's OEM. It came off the engine I bought when my wife popped mine..

2005 Miata, 5k miles on the odo. It's a Daiken Disc/PP.. I ran the OEM clutch on my car for a long time with no issues..

Put it up for sale and tell them it needs a new clutch

You could buy one of those cheap *** formula 1 clutches off ebay as a last resort.

Why do you care if the F1 clutche lasts 15 or 50K miles. just put one in they are 170$, and drive just fine at 8psi. Even with all the sliping mine was getting in high boost it still was on track to last 40K or so miles.

turn the boost down? less boost = less torques = less slippage

Orly?

I can't seem to find the flywheel that I bought. So your proposition sounds enticing.
