Default Another rescued kitten

Wife and I took the dogs out for a run and a few blocks down the road we found a box. On the side of the road in this box was two kittens wrapped in towels. Some **** tard piece of **** left two kittens wrapped up in a box for who knows how long in the sun, in the south. Its was 83deg today. One had already perished and I hauled home, dropped off the pups, and came back with the Jeep to get the wife and the kitten barely struggling to breath clinging to life.

Found a vet that had already locked up, but the was still there and came to the door. Couple hours later and he is home with us. First report was a barely 20% chance of making it. He is really under weight, severely dehydrated, and just skin and bones. His temp is really low too, 90 ish can't remember. If he makes it through the night he has a strong chance of making it. I will be up all night with him trying to get something in him and keeping him on a electric blanket and warm, so if I post weird stuff bare with me.

We named him Burnout

PS: If I find who did it I will be hurting them. Promise.

Poor little guy, I hope he pulls through. I hate people sometimes.

Good luck. If I were closer I'd buy you a cup of coffee.

The coffee is for you, not the kitten, right?

good luck. didn't read much of the op, but i assume you're keeping them or looking for a suitable home.
just the other day a kitten followed my gf home. i'll take it to the kitten/cat thread though.
again, good luck. if you were near me, i'd consider taking them or at least help to point you in the right direction for adoption

Oh yeah the prego cat from last year and all her kittens found good homes. Actually still get a text from a few of the parents telling me their still good.

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread. Didn't want to fill the cat thread with my rambling. Feel free to slap my hand and I'll move over there. Also I apologize if I am boring anyone. Kinda using this to occupy me in between trying to get a few drops in him.

Got a little movement out of him. Yay. Might pull through.

Well we did all we could for the little guy. Sorry to be a downer, but he passed . I really though he had a good chance. If someone wants to delete this thread to avoid being depressing to all that would be fine. I really hate people more every day.

You gave it a shot. Props to you for that.

Major bad karma to whomever left them there.

Damn. It was awfully good of you to go through that extra effort for him. I dont understand why someone would do something like that when at the very least they could drop them off at a humane league.

Thanks guys. It's a somber morning. Kinda want to scour the neighborhoods for more to rescue just so I can have a happier story. I might go make some elevenses in memory of Burnout and Kelly (the other was named Kelly, no one should die without a name).

At least you tried. Most people would be lucky to see that sort of unconditional love at any time in their lives.

RIP kitty.
