Any free file sharing programs out there?

Hey guys,

Just wondering if there are still any totally free file sharing programs out there.

I just checked out ares and morpheus but it seems like they have a fee to get on.

I want to download a few songs but dont want to have to pay for them.

Thanks for the help.

Stealing is bad, and you should be ashamed of yourself.

For P2P sharing of legal to distribute files, may I suggest googling 'bit torrent' and 'limewire'.

:)

BitTorrent FTW!

(and might I suggest the µTorrent client.)

utorrent in it's current iteration is not the one to use.

... and this is supported by what reasoning?

I've been using 1.5 for some time now, and been really happy with it. Have they made significant detrimental changes in the current stable build (1.7.5)?

I wouldn't use any program besides Bittorrent.

Mostly because programs like Limewire and it's ilk were targeted by FBI's cybercrimes division. I have a friend that worked for their online child exploitation investigations division who got it on pretty good authority to stop using file sharing programs like Limewire and Morpheus. Something about Bittorrent makes it hard to track.

WinMX...

magnamx-5 10-14-2007 01:02 PM

I use limewire

.... and maybe you should fucking try google.

or just maybe the MPAA indirectly owning utorrent could be a fucking problem

....and maybe it has something to do with some private trackers banning utorrent over this.

..........

www.Emuleplus.info

Recently they have been getting the bad press as the others, had some servers down etc.

Safest is probably bittorrent.

hence the "current iteration" part.

Ruckus is free and legal if you have a .edu email address. Albums download in <10 sec, but they have DRM, so you have to download a program to remove the DRMs if you want to play the music anywhere but your pc.

Newsgroups are the way to go. Worry free.

uTorrent, ftw.

It's even got a web-gui that you can forward through your firewall to access remotely.
