Any idea what size and thread-pitch for this nut?

I lost 28-091 and I can't get the part in time to hit the track tomorrow. Does anyone know what thread-pitch and size nut I can replace it with? Help Help Help!

it requires a 17mm wrench, iirc, if that helps.

Take out bolt and go to hardware store?

Check with a shop that does alignments. They have a tendency to talk people into new eccentric bolts when they do alignments and may have a bunch of used ones laying around. Just a thought for something local to you that you could get today and free.

nm...
Can you remove the one from the other side and bring it to the hardware store? Don't remember how much of a PITA it is. |

I'm talking about the gigantic bolt on the UCA bolt through the subframe. Sorry for the confusion.

I searched the part number, FB01-28-091A and got lots of hits but no pitch information. Take off the other one and go to the store but I think it will be unlikely you will find one.
If you have a u-pull-it lot it is common on lots of Mazdas. LOL, they are both marked 28-091.

If it's the same as the alignment bolts, I'm 97% sure it's a M12*1.50 nut. (Newer style bolts are M12*1.25 iirc).

I see. Either way, it's an M12*xxx bolt. Grab one of each and see what fits.

I don't understand why Hustler can't just pick up the entire car, strap it on his back, and ride his bike to the store and figure it out on the spot.
This is why he deadlifts for right? |

crutch; man up.

At this point I'd probably trade the green car for that bike. Well, not yet...but I'm getting there. I assure you all that I will never, ever unload the green car. It's my "forever car".

I say that because that nut is the only thing that didn't show up when I ordered all new bolts/nuts for the suspension to replace the rusted up stuff. As for pitch, guessing you don't have a tap/die set? |
you could be correct, maybe I'm thinking of the lower nut, but then again, that could be 19mm too. I never said I was any help.
|
I could be wrong too, it's been ~1 year since I took it apart. I'm sure he will have it figured out before I get the suspension/brakes off the car tomorrow night.
If not, I'll report back. |
