Just a little background...yes it's PVC pipe, yes it's supposed to be a FMIC, yes he is on his 2nd motor, 3rd tranny, 3rd paint job, and 5th clutch in this car, yes he just turned 18, yes daddy bought the car but "he paid it off because daddy gave it to him as a graduation present"....

WELL, he just posted this on a local forum..

well the current tranny in the neon had its last hurrah saturday night It would figure that a simple little piece (shift selector) would break and **** up the rest of it. Since lowes doesn't sell transmissions I actually had to break down and buy a rebuilt 03 stage2 one from performance autowerks.... at least this time it'll have a steel shift selector and forks since those are made of brass in the stock version. either way stock srt-4 transmissions suck and have had lots of issues since they changed the design. 03s and 04s have good ones 05s however did not.
...those that can do the math will realize that this is now his FOURTH transmission...seriously, how the **** do people like this make it to be as old as they are?

This is why i find it so hard to believe. Its just too outrageous, he already went through a handful of motors, clutches, and trannys. He replaced a functional factory FMIC with PVC tubing. I just cannot believe that he could be that stupid. I'm sure hundreds of people have told him an idiot, why would he not change his ways?

This is what gave it away for me:

I've known people this dumb. Like the ******* that replace the stock intake system on a miata with a shitty dryer vent hose intake that puts the filter behind the radiator or by the exhaust manifold... face it gentleman, there are people out there that believe that anything that construct is better than stock, despite quality, form, or function.

that being said, this guy is a ******* retard for the following reasons:
1) a co-worker is putting out 345whp in a mostly stock srt-4 on his stock engine and transmission

2) that piece was made out of Nickel-Aluminum-Bronze, not steel to begin with to reduce the wear that occurred on earlier years as they increased in mileage. If you need that piece to be made of steel then you either have a fucked up clutch/adjustment or no driving ability.

3) to go through that many clutches in 50K miles it is obvious he has no driving ability as suggested in point 2.

Man that is getto. If he busted his IC and is broke $$$$$. I could see a Volvo or Vw IC. That isn't even functionable.
He should be slapped.

His SRT had a stock intercooler..wasn't good enough so he bought some HUGE *** 1 inch core intercooler for it, cut his bumper all to hell to make it fit, used zip ties to hold it on...sold his stock I/C few weeks go by and someone steals his FMIC...this is the result. Trust me, not a troll HE IS THAT STUPID..period end of conversation.

i remember the stolen IC thread... that was fucked up. but honestly, an ebay IC is dirt cheap. probably cheaper than that PVC arrangement he's got now.
