Anyone ever bungie jumped?

My gf has been wanting to for some time now. Its her 21st birthday this year so i figure ill take her for that. We are pretty big thrill seekers, skydived on her 18th and do lots of outdoor activities together.

I am a bit nervous to jump off a bridge or whatever else you can do it off of, anyone ever done it?

I've done a bridge jump. It was awesome. Bungee.com - bungee jumping and equipment, professional hollywood stunts, extreme sports, bungee jumping into volcanos, bungee trampolines.<
It looks like they got better video gear than when I went.

I did it in New Zealand, from a bridge over a river, a tandem jump with my wife. It was her idea, and I said I'd do it as long as I'm the one the rope is tied to!

Nothing says love like: "fine, as long as I'm the one that gets to live if the shit hits the fan"

No thanks. I'd rather not entrust my life to an over sized rubber band.

I did it from a huge tower over a giant inflatable bag. It was a thrill. Once was plenty.

My buddy worked at the local gokart entertainment facility as the bungee jump tech operator guy, so I've jumped a few hundred times.

The first time is pretty damn intense and horrifying, the second time is great.

Wow, they say after 100 jumps, you become retarded or something.

Jus' sayin.

And ghey. That too.

I'll PM you my number for next visit to D.C. wink wink

Actually, after 50 jumps your butt-hole starts to permanently tighten or in Hustlers case, return back to a normal size.

Mods, can you take our 2 posts and start a new 'Hustler's bungholio jump' thread?

I went 3 times in Greece as part of a package deal. We went up over a crane and got dunked in a pool when we reached the end of the jump. It was pretty cool. Skydiving is a lot more fun though. My wife and I did that for our 1 year anniversary.

lol, when I skydived, you could reverse those. The first time you don't know what to think. The second time, you know EXACTLY what to think.

I can skydive, fly my own plane, but I drew the line at tying myself to a rubber band operated by a guy making slightly over minimum wage.

I guess this hobby gets expensive if you don't have any pilot friends.

thesnowboarder 03-11-2010 03:30 AM

Once you have all the skydiving gear its not very expensive, locally its about 35 bucks a jump once you have everything. I have looked into it, and plan on getting more into skydiving when the funds exist.

Too many hobby's, not enough time/money :(

My dad and sister went in New Zealand a couple years ago (I was sick, thankfully.) He said even at 200+ft, they weighed you and then asked you how wet you wanted to get (there was a river below). You could ask for anything from the top of your head to your entire upper body and they could set the tension to do it. That's precision.
