Looks like a generic china two post to me.

aidandj 09-04-2016 01:25 AM

Did you watch the video?

deezums 09-04-2016 01:38 AM

I did now, why'd you make me do that?

Still looks like a china two post to me. Nothing wrong with that, there's a lot more of them out there in heavy use than you'd probably think.

I have a DirectLift (IIRC) 7k offset 2-post in the shop right now. No problems in 6+ years of service aside from a single leaking hydraulic fitting (distributor provided me with specs on the fitting so I could go to my local Parker store and replace). The offset option is definitely worth having - not being able to open the doors fully while on the lift sort of sucks. I would trust my chinese 7k lift to lift a Miata, and maybe heavier sports cars, but you'll never catch me under a 6000lb pickup truck on it.

Do you remember what you paid? If I get a lift it will need to lift 3/4 ton pickups. Might spend some more up front for 12k or whatever.

I need a house first. Then the lift.

Under $2k brand new. Find a used Rotary or Bendpak if you want to lift heavy stuff.

My MaxJax is technically MiC. I've had all sorts of vehicles on it including my mom's Dodge Caravan will all kinds of junk loaded in it. It all comes down to the QC of the company ordering the parts. That's where I'd be willing to pay extra dollars for a well known brand selling Chinese manufactured parts.

This ^^. Had I been able to fit a Bendpak in my garage that would have been my #1, 2, and 3 choices.

Call your local rep/installer and ask if they have used/repo'd units. I got mine that way and they located, inventoried, delivered, installed and warranted (1yr) my 10k Rotary for $2500.
