Atlanta Area, Most informal tech day ever, Saturday April 14
The other Ben (Atlanta93LE) & I are going to hook up this Saturday. The main event will consist of tapping an oil pan. Exciting, I know. Meeting is to commence at a shop in Lawrenceville, so there will be access to a lift, compressor, tools, etc. Nothing is planned, other than tapping Ben's oil pan. Maybe we'll grab something to eat, or go for a ride :dunno:
So I'm extending an invitation to other Atlanta area folks who wouldn't mind helping with such an endeavor. Come, hang out, drink a beer. If you're feeling generous, bring a 6 pack or a bone for the shop dog. This is an opportunity to meet other enthusiasts, and/or put your car up in the air for minor work, fluid changes, etc.... Feel free to post questions. PM for contact info and address. Ben |

See, you try to help out others by offering your resources, and you get accused of ------ry.
So, everyone is invited, except SamS and myfonti. :gay: <edit>oh, and that odd guy who wants to remote mount his turbo |
fuck I remember when I had to tap my oil pan. Multiple calls to scott, a drive to go get his tap. Cussing when the tap....miss tapped. Dremeling out the hole bigger so I could loosely screw in the fitting. And applying enough jb to erect a lifesize replica of the Eiffel Tower.

Well I hope it goes better than it went for you then ;)
|
Don't get me wrong, it works :-P

By most informal i thought you were saying most informative, then i read the thread. :)
I'd show up if it wasn't a 4 hour drive. |

can't make it- it's bday blow out here: Mom, Mom in law, daughter 1 and now daughter 2. We still need to do a dyno day here- late summer maybe? Something that equates to a <monster truck voice on> "MT.net NE vs. SE, Dyno Battle". :bigtu:

Looks like the weather on Saturday is going to suck anyway.
Perhaps we should either reschedule this one or schedule an additional day, but with enough advance warning. |
Either works for me, as long as I get this pan tapped sometime ;)
