Atlanta Pick up Your Pants
|
I think you mean..."Brothas in Atl, pick up your pants" ;)
|
never gonna happen
|
good luck legislating a dress code.
What is underwear, why are people required to wear it, and how are they going to deal with exposing underwear, and wearing it, as indecent? What if I'm not wearing underwear, and prancing around in a speedo in a marathon...doesn't that fall under the same indecency logic. Ok so I was joking about the speedo, you guys know I prance around in a "sling." |
Logistics of creating the code or enforcing it are moot. This will *never* become a law because the majority of offenders it targets are black. The race card will be played. Jessie and Sharpton will each put a few rhymes together to fire up emotions. The ACLU, NAACP and RainbowPUSH nazis will protest and scream.
Also, this is a matter of taste. Taste is not a matter of law. Thank your boy Larry Flint for that. Furthermore, this code would also prohibit women from pulling their thongs up. If I have to deal with the urban yutes' boxer shorts to continue seeing some fine female thong action, well consider it a fair compormise. Georgia has some of the best looking women in the country. |
I would say there are enough white people in atlanta that think they are black that sag their pants that racism shouldn't be a problem. Then again white people are the minority in ATL so how could they throw the racism card. Are the legislators themselves black?
|
who cares. let them look like idiots.
|
All you need to do is listen to the NAACP official statement issued related to Michael Vick. Then tell me the race card won't be played.
|
this is such a waste of tax payer money. Why worry about baggy pants when the city has other obvious safety issues. Once I can walk through downtown with a fist full of 100 dollar bills at any time of day with out getting robbed, then they can start legislating clothing.

Don't travel much, do you? I was there for 5 days total on the way to Japan. Took the train into the Underground and did some more roaming around. I didn't see much that I would consider up to par with the basic issue here in Texas. |
let 'em look like plumber-wannabees
|
It's pretty retarded. and it will eventually pass like all fashion. The strange thing about it all...is that the demograph which seems most inclined to take up said fashion are what most might call "high risk" or "criminally inclined". LOL white kids looking to get beat up, or black guys in a bad neighborhood, or people who might find a need to run from law enforcement. Why? why make running even harder than it is? Now you've got to trip, run, and pull up pants while running, and possibly jumping. Doesn't make any sense to me. By the standards of natural selection...those who choose to prevent the natural instinct of "flee" (as in fight or flee) should begin to "die out" and their numbers should continue to dwindle.
All in all....I think it's retarded and I'd smack my kid for even trying. |

I didn't see much that I would consider up to par with the basic issue here in Texas. There are areas here where the women are so beautiful and numerous you'd fall over sideways. Underground is not one of those places. Midtown can be a treat. As can Buckhead, Roswell, Dunwoody, Duluth, ATHENS.... I've been to Houston, Dallas, and SanAntonio, spent a couple days in each. Texas has the whole guns and stringing up criminals situations going for it. But not women. Other areas of interest: Miami, LA, Tennesse--but only around UT, Manhattan |

I look at the 'dropped pants' issue alot like high profile mesh trucker hats. If you sport either youre probably a moron...and the lower the pants or the farther tilted back on your head the hat the higher the stupidity rate...in general. At least thats been my observation in field testing. ;)

Im with you on Manhattan I was visiting my g/f in Manhattan and had trouble keeping my head on straight.

It all boils down to have the state legislate moralty. Thats not the states job to do that. If somebody wants to walk around with there boxers hanging out, or their thong showing or a Bra strap showing more power to them. How does it effect my life ? It dosent.
In this case the city councilman that proposes the ban is black, the majaority of the offenders would be black. It's a political diversion to take the public view away from something else that is more important, Like crime in Atlanta (as well as the counties around Atlanta). |
most major cities draw hotties. DC, SF, LA, NY... all the same idea. just depends on what type you like. Lets see...
DC: blonde republican barbie dolls mixed with edgy liberal girls SF: indie rocker girls and hottie geek chicks LA: blonde barbie dolls and starving actresses, porn stars NY: euro-fashion, edgy rocker, and smokin businesswomen etc etc etc. |
ooo I don't know how I forgot SanFran. Lots of weird, freaky, very experimental hotties who throw around words like 'lifestyle' and 'munch'
I did not care for DC, but to be fair I probably did not see the 'right' areas. |
