Audiophiles check this out!

With my recent success on ebay I decided to step out of miata world for a minute and buy some other stuff, audio stuff. To sum up the experience is one word....WOW!

First were computer speakers. If you have a computer that needs speakers, looking to upgrade, don't even have a computer....no matter. You will not be disappointed with this set! My friend has them and when I heard them I was blown away....and get this --> $40!!! These sound like fucking $100 speakers easily. One of my most best purchases so far this year!

Logitech x230 - 32watts -2.1 speakers

Second are these headphones. Working construction I like to listen to my ipod to make the day go by faster and drown out machinery sounds. But I need something that's durable, sounds good, and wont get tangled on me. So I researched best gym headphones and after some reading chose a set. They just came today and again....wow. I have probably spent over $150 on headphones the past year at work. Replacing them time and time again with a duplicate set of Sonys. If they get caught in my hammer holder when I go to pull my hammer and the headphones are caught....that's it fucking smash them. It sounds stupid but its really frustrating sometimes. Anyways, these come with a thing to take care of that. Look great, sound awesome, and seem like they work for my situation great. They cost $100 in stores, I got them of ebay for around $60 new in box.

I'm so stoked with this stuff I wanted to share with anyone in the market for either. Headphones are a little pricey, but ebay saves you $40 real quick. And the computer speakers....jesus...I cant believe they only cost $40.

Listening to the used right now as I typed this! :)

Logitech makes great stuff, they make a USB microphone for those who use voice chat online. (gaming, on msn chat, etc). No drivers needed, windows detects it, and best quality I have ever heard. Let my friend borrow it and it sounded almost exactly the same quality as when he went to high $$$ recording sessions in studios. And, got it for $15 off ebay! http://cgi.ebay.com/Logitech-USB-Des...QQcmdZViewItem

I use the Logitech X-540 6 speaker setup at home and its only $60 at your local sams club. Works with consoles as well as pcs.

i've got the same logitech speakers you mentioned, vash. i like 'em...they're a *little* plastic-feeling in the midrange, but i got them for $40 on sale at best buy and they were a steal at that price.

I can't comment on the Logitech's specifically except to say I've never been disappointed wiht any Logitech product I've owned.

The VModa's are a great purchase. A buddy of mine at work is a serious audio/video nutcase and he swears by them. He says most other earbuds sound like clock-radios compared to them... and that the bass will blow you away.

these are about the best sounding headphones you will get for under $20

Yes....its hard to believe that the earbuds can make that kind of bass. Really, they are the best headphones I have ever worn. I cant wait to put them to use.

The speakers have yet to disappoint me in anyway. I haven't had a need to really put them past 50% volume either. They are plenty loud enough for me at 30%.

Youre missing out.

If you consider yourself an Audiophile, go listen to some Shure SE series in ear headphones.

As for the Klipsche computer speakers, they are bar none the best you can get for a PC.

I have Logitech Z680s for my surround sound system, it hits so hard it'll make your guts rumble.

but does it sound good :piss:

as for earbuds, i tried the cheap ($100ish) shure in-ear "monitors" and i was not impressed at all. completely empty - muddy bass, mudrange instead of midrange, and artificial treble.

took them back and got the sennheiser cx300s. HUGE difference. music actually sounds like music.

vash, what type of shure mic do you have? my live vocal mic is an sm58. for the price, i'm happy with it...and it can take an absolute beating.

teknikscian 04-08-2008 05:40 PM

+1 for the Shures, i had an old set of E2c and they were amazing. i will agree the bass was a little bland though, other than that i had no complaints. especially for the price compared to other inears.

and hooray for the Shure beta58! best mic ive ever touched.

Its the "bands" mic, so I'm not sure the model or anything, but I know its Shure. And yes the fucker can take a beating!! lol Once and awhile when I drink to much and get out of hand I like to trick the mic around. I have dropped it, smacked the heating ducts with it, wall.....lol. :giggle:

Cool to hear that some other guys on the board rock out. I swear its almost as good of a release as boxing, I seriously love music 100 times more since I started singing. :bigtu:
