The only part I liked was the quote from Soichiro Honda...well, that and the whole :11 worth of actual track footage.

Always wanted one of these though. Video had me waiting for something awesome to happen, like the unveiling of the new V10/V8 supercar that was supposed to hit the market this year or something.

Two options when I get back to the States: Redo the Miata (much like FRT is doing), or get an NSX.

Decisions.

I thought it was a good video

Besides the Evanescence theme (with can go suck a dick), the cinematography was good.

Makes me want to go get a nice little HD camera.

Thank you. It was much needed after yawning at the NSX. Worst "exotic" ever. Slow, couldn't handle, and expensive to maintain....... NTM they are a PITA to work on.

Buddy had a 94' and I could never tell when he was at WOT by feel from the passenger seat. VTEC would change the exhaust pitch a bit, but it was still slow. Look over and its at 8k rpm, but it was going NO WHERE. On/Off ramps were just as weak, and a near stock 94 NA walked all over him the time or two he autox'd. Cool looking car, but not much else.

you really dont know much about cars..

kinda funny, some dude by the name of gordon murray.. whoever he is, actually developed a car that was kinda uhm, influenced if you will, by the nsx. man what was the name of that car he developed (ahem f1)

as for the car porno, no thanks. cinematography excluded, the video sucked and was a waste.. i kept fast forwarding through it.

its a fucking car.. as much as i like the nsx or any other car for that matter, i'm more interested in driving it instead of sitting there jacking off in front of my monitor.

Easy kids, easy. No need for personal attacks or E-bench racing. It sounds like ChpmnsWS6 just had a bad experience with one.

IMHO:

The NSX is *kinda* like the Miata, in that it's a brilliant car that doesn't get a lot of respect from those who don't appreciate it for what it is (or even know what it is, once the badges are removed). Sure, the NSX isn't as fast as a Ferrari - but it isn't as expensive either and is almost assuredly easier and cheaper (and more reliable) to maintain as a daily driver, just as the Miata is next to a British sports car or a Porsche, etc.

Like the Miata, too, it has all of the framework in place to be a much better car than it was when it rolled out of the factory. The chassis and suspension architecture are there. The engine is stout *enough* to tolerate a little boost, which really wakes up Honda's free-breathing engines. 400 bhp is only a ~35% bump in power for an NSX, after all.

I'm biased though. I really do think there's a partout in my Miata's future...

^^ Is there an NSX in your future too? In CA high-mile NA1's often sell in the low 20's.

You know a hand-assembled C30A VTEC will take track abuse reliably. When I sold my '95 Integra GS-R it had 234K miles, but still ran a gear or two to 8200 rpm nearly every trip without exploding.

This is LoveFab's base kit for about $10k, stock motor.

Possibly. I've been telling the wife for years that there are only a handful of cars I'd give up the Miata for, an NSX is among them.

I should be getting a very healthy tax-free reenlistment bonus shortly. That combined with the usual tax-free combat zone perks and advantages will pay off the VW in my sig and make financial room for an NSX. Over here, you can place up to your base pay every month into an account earning 10% interest through the duration of your tour, which also helps.

Redemption win, the Lotus Cortina is ill. As previously mentioned, he passes the XKE on the outside of the curb, that is sheer manliness. In fact, I'm willing to bet that driver is such a man that he sweats 10M hydrochloric acid.

Hahaha

Saw the video a few days ago, i really liked it alot, but i also play with camera gear for fun so that could be a big reason why i enjoyed it.

I am shooting at a Ken Blocks private event on the 7th, hopefully i can get close enough to snag some good footage!
