I put this in the BS section instead of the FS section because I really hope that nobody considers buying this thing.

This is exactly why I don't even waste my time with Craiglist. IMO it is a dumping ground for crap no one wants to buy. Of course there are exceptions, but my time is worth more than that.

You are missing out if you ignore craigslist. I've scored some excellent deals on parts and I found both of my miatas on craigslist.

For small ****, it's a disaster, but I found my Miata and sold a minivan, my dad's Rx7, and our box trailer all on CL. Sold the minivan in like 11 hours.

I'm shopping for a Miata as we speak, and was frustrated as hell at the not being able to search multiple regions (Mr. Craigslist wants to keep it local, bla bla) until I found this little beauty.

http://crazedlist.org/

It only works with Firefox, and you need to modify the value of network.http.sendRefererHeader to 0 or 1.

I use that from time to time. The only thing I have ever bought on CL has been the Miata I am using on my trailer project:
http://www.lightweightmiata.com/trailer/trailer.htm

It was advertised for $300 but I paid $400 for it (price mysteriously went up $100 <G>). I cut the car in half, pulled the front hubs/spindles/radiator/fans and sold the front end, the broken tranny, the rear subframe, and another broken tranny I had from another car for $680. Sold the radiator for $80 and the fans for $50. So, I guess CL did good by me on that one (made $410 on it so far AND got a free rear half of a Miata to play with).
