Blew my fuel feed line today :(
luckily it happened as i was about 15 ft from the driveway the line looks like it just ballooned and burst oh well a bunch of gas everywhere and a new peice of hose and i am now right as rain. just lucky it waited till i got home to go instead of when i was doing 80+ on the way, or in boost.

That sounds odd. Did you use fuel line meant for fuel injection?
|
Regular fuel injection hose (SAE30R9) is required to have higher working pressure rating (125psi) and minimum burst pressure rating (900psi).
If your hose has a number between R7 and R9 it is only a medium pressure hose. R6 and it's made for CARB cars, only 40psi working. I tested my lines to 150psi for about 2-3 minutes constant and verified they won't burst. |
it was the section of line just before my pressure gauge so it was only like 1 1/2 inches long i thought i used injection line but being as short as it was there where no markings on it. anyway i have the best i could find on there now. i had been running that peice of line for a few weeks.
