FFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKK!!!
so ya ... i was helping my friend change out his clutch on his S2000, and managed to crack the bellhousing on the transmission. The ****** was stuck on a dowel pin near the top. Theres a used tranny 20 miles away for $750 ...
I feel totally responsible because im the guy who supposedly sorta knows what he is doing and my buddy doesnt know anything about working on cars. What a humbling ******* night. oh ya 7 hours of work and the tranny is still sitting on a jack and my buddy doesnt know that the bell housing cracked, didnt have the heart to say it.
Worst feeling in the world when you **** up somebodys car, I knew better than to keep prying ...

that is why i have whoever owns the car do any prying etc if they breack it you dont feel responsible remember as the person who knows what they are doing you should be pointing your finger and helping with minor arangements so the next time you do the job both of you know what you are doing. Just my 2 cents. how bad is the bell housing cracked? is it salvagable, fully warped? detials man maybe you aren't up **** creek yet.

welding it would be the the cheapest option but what does your friend say bout it...Telling him now would beat him finding out down the road...it sounds lame but honesty is the best policy.

That sucks man. I know how you feel. When I was 16, I was helping my buddy change his breaks on his Integra and didnt realize I had put the jack stand under his floorboard. So, as I'm shure you guessed, when I let the jack down, the jack stand went right through the ******* car. I tried playing it off like nothing had happened which lasted a whole 10seconds. Luckly for me my dad pulled in driveway comming home from work and lucky for me he had a welder. Problem got fixed and everything was all good. Except now I get nervious whenever I put a jackstand under my or anyone elses car.
