Yes I know I know, technically I am not buying gas right now ( you are buying it for me) and we dont have star bucks here its Green Bean but I never use 70 bucks a week in the Miata.

what are you buying? foofy mixed milkfoam drinks?

we had chitty coffee at work and I made them switch to Peets.

btw, in most of europe, there's no "cup of coffee". just watered down espresso and the goofy look you get for ordering one.

My drink of choice here is a MOAC (Mother Of All Coffee). The name is a play off of Saddam Hussein’s mother of all wars. It consists of 5 shots of espresso, and enough frothed milk to make it drinkable. My fall back is a quad café mocha.
Yea in Europe they call our watered down coffee “Americana”

I try not to spend money on coffee..... free starbucks stuff (at our dealership), but I spend around $70-80/week for gas to get to school and work.

I drank so much of that while i was in spain, lucky i'm not a diabetic now. That and the churros, mmm. I miss the european bakery shops. Think they just called it chocolaté, we brought some back with us in powdered. Not exactly the same but still pretty damn good. Best part of that trip was hitting up a bar right when they were closing, having it all to ourselves as a group and spending the rest of the night drinking out of Das Boots(1.5L).

Hell yes, I LOVE the bakery shops there. I was in France for a week with my art class and every single day my art teacher and I would go on a pastry run, no matter what city we were in we always found some awesome pastries. That's one reason I love europe, no matter what country you're in the food just plain kicks ass!

Yes, food there kicks ass unless you live there for a long time and first you get used to it, after some time you just start to hate it and won't even look at it for a long time.... ask me how I know this. lol

'87 gas just broke $3/gal in SoCal again this wk. i also bought a $2 double espresso this wknd.

after returning from europe, i haven't had a cup of cafe americana. nor have i purchased a tank of '93 oct for the miata.

what i'm trying to say is: i'm a too cheap of a bastard to have an addiction/vices.

MD.Drift 10-31-2007 08:20 PM

digging out an old thread....

RickA - I've lived in GB for half of my life.... and traveled a lot around europe so I know.

Gas is around $3.25/gal. right now... being forced to use premium sucks....
