New target/f'n around gun
So I'm not sure about other places in the country, but here in Columbia SC it's getting hard to find .380 rounds locally. That's why I bought this Walther P22.
It's a little on the light side....at first, but once you get used to it its actually a lot of fun. Bullets are abundant and oh so cheap!! A box of 100 Minimags is only around 10 bucks. I took it out this weekend and shot about 200 rounds through it and so far so good. Anyone had any experiences with these Walthers??
Here is a video of me unloading a clip.

I have one as well. I have shot minimags and federal bulk (36 grain HP) with absolutely no problems. I just bought 4000 rounds of federal bulk (40 grain solid) and it jams, won't eject, etc on 1 or 2 per mag. I bought 2100 rounds of the 36 grain for $92 shipped from Cabellas (came with a large plastic ammo box). Be sure to take it apart and do the "1911" fix on it (do a search and you will find it). I will probably take mine apart again to alter it because the spent rounds keep ejecting down my wife's shirt (she is getting burn scars from it).
Comparison picture of it and my P32 (someone was asking about it in another thread):

I have only ran high velocity rounds through it. It seems to like any round as long as you get a bullet in the 12-14 FPS range. I got a few jams, even with the minis, at first. It seemed like the last round in the clip would jam. Come to think of it, this has stopped since I started using the Minimags.

My brother owned a P22. Good weapon, though the mag release is a little funky...
I instead opted for the Ruger 22-45 w/ a 4-in barrel. Using the "Ultimate Clip Loader" from Brownell's, I can put 500 rounds down range for about $20 and won't have killed my thumb from reloading the clips.

Yah I keep seeing suppressors for the p22 at all the gun shows. At the end of the day with all the costs and hassels that it takes to get one I just cannot justify it. I would spent more on all that **** then on the gun and to me that just not seem like a good idea. Now what I really want is to find a suppressor for my PPK/S.

If you goto the wikipedia page for the P22 at the bottom in the refrence section there is a pdf with instructions on all the diffrent mods to do to the P22 to make it a better gun. One of these days when I grow some ***** I plan on doing them.

You pay $200 for a tax stamp for the suppressor (don't call it a silencer <G>). My understanding (I have not done a lot of research on it) is that the stamp stays with the suppressor so if you sell it you have to pay another $200 for a stamp for the next one. It would seem to me that you could buy a silencer that already had a stamp but that would bypass the local laws (here you have to get the chief of police to sign something saying they are aware that you have it). I will find out more if I ever get one.
BTW, my local gun shop told me that you definitely need to check with the C.O.P. before you buy one. Make sure he is going to "approve" you (even though you do not require his approval - by law he is only being notified) before you waste money on something you aren't allowed to buy.
Oh, tell them you are using the suppressor to save your hearing!

The $200 "stamp" is a transfer fee for the paperwork the ATF has to process... it must be paid every time the same suppressor or automatic/SBR is sold or given to someone else... Not like anybody is going to give away a suppressor after they own it for a while I had the opportunity to shoot an H&K USP .45 with a suppressor, most accurate and easiest shooting gun I have ever fired...
