Where's the best spot to check out a shuttle launch? Hoping to get a lead on the secret local spot instead of dealing with the masses at a public site.

A boat on the banana river.

Failing that, the intersection of hwy 50 and US1 in Titusville.

The absolute best is on-site. I've never been, but hear it's pretty cool...

I would like to see a launch up close one day. Good luck on catching it.

I watched it from about 30 miles away and I could still hear/feel it...shit was crazy. I want to be onsite one day.

I purchased 2 "VIP on site tickets" to watch from the causeway.

But now I'm thinking I should trailer the boat to FL, figure out where I can splash it in, and watch from the water. Sounds dope. Meh.

I could see the shuttle launch from Jacksonville :D Couldn't hear or feel anything, just see the trail.

We watched it from work. (Orlando.) 'Till it went behind clouds. Then continued on the innerwebz...

I watched a bunch of Asian kids run through to North Lawn near the Reitz pointing to the sky and I hit the deck.

The KSC/NASA causeway. "Green ticket VIP". :giggle:
