...you go to swap in your LSD and turns out it's an 8" TII LSD?

You mean you bought an LSD to put into an open 1.8 and found your open 1.8 was actually an LSD already? Or what?

I was stupid and didnt read carefully.

Bruce to clarify, i had a 1.8 open assembly and bought a new LSD meatball to swap in. I had researched a bunch and decided to go with an RX7 clutch-type over the torsen. But I was overzealous and was focusing on the deal I was making and not the important details. So I ended up with an LSD for the RX7 turbo which is a 8" unit over the 7" miata rear.

No worries I should be able to pick up the correct LSD and sell this one off.

well i know that. I was just stupid and wasn't paying attention, I saw the model years, but wasn't looking to see if it was specified as a GSL or Turbo car, which it did specify. :gay:

Converting to a TII rear takes a bit of work, since it's 8" and doesn't bolt right up. Plus I think you need a custom driveshaft.

luckily i think I found another for the exact same price.
