Good to hear a group taking somonee's ignorance in stride and even turning the tables on them. Now whenever someone hears of that place, they'll think of the dumb ---- that should have ended herself.

My oriental girlfriend thought the ching chong ling long was very accurate in it's description of her people in the library talking on their phones.

Never saw the video...but the girl was bitching about people disrupting her studying in the library...and the people disrupting aren't english...obviously asian...

I don't see anything wrong with what she said...I feel bad for her and her cleavage for being dismissed from school.

I am going to open a Cracker McHonkies fried chicken and burger stand. That is funny though. I never saw the yt video, good post though. IMO, anyone that rants on youtube like that is just asking for it, and is a doucher.

Anybody can be a racist. I can understand her being upset in a library, everybody should be quiet. But posting it on youtube is just asking for it. I just find the restaurant part amusing.

When I was in school at UF (mid 90s), there was a little building at the corner of 13'th & Newburry (just off the extreme northeast corner of the main campus) which house three tiny little take-out restaurants that were cheap, fast, and nearly always open.

The first was Falafel King, which I believe was the first place where I ever had falafel with hummus, a combination to which I remain addicted to this day.

Second was Burrito Brothers, a place that served mediocre but spicy black-bean burritos that were cheap and filling.

And third was Chinee-Takee-Outee, which for you New Yorkers was roughly the same as every single one of the little Chinese take-out places that litter midtown Manhattan, except that most of the people who worked there spoke English as a first language.

I honestly cannot recall anybody every being offended by this. Granted, we didn't have a huge Asian student body.


Last weekend, as I drove from Birmingham to southern FL, I made it a point to stop by Gainesville for a bite to eat. Sadly, the aforementioned building has been demolished (in fairness, it needed to be) and the restaurants which it housed appear to be gone.

On the plus side, Caribbean Spice is still there, still run by the same fellow, and still just as odd as ever. (The prices have gone up slightly, but they still have the best cocoa bread in the known universe.)
