august 26th. Then maitas at hallet in september with a bonus track day that friday. Unfortunately I'll still have the 1.6 in for both of those. I've tried to get you out there a few times now. You live 90 minutes from one of if not the best technical road courses in the nation. They don't build tracks like Hallett anymore.

Would like to see video of that Boxster getting out of shape. He didn't smack tires did he?

I can't see a roll bar on that red Miata. If he has one it certainly isn't above the helmet. Hard to believe tracks still let people run without adequate protection.

That corner has a ton of camber, with the trough pre-apex. Its like reading a green. I did the same thing too in an earlier session were I was on the gas too soon and it rockets you with some oversteer...we both only put 2 off.

He has a roll bar...I thought he sat down lower than the pic indicates. It could be the angle of teh photographer considering he's pointed up-hill at that point.

NAH, he just got scared cause of the faster car behind him... decided to pull over and let the it by rather than suffer the humiliation when it cruised by him on the outside at half throttle.

there was a guido **** who looked like a fat yanni out there in a c5z. He refused an instructor at first. lol

The second session out I saw him loop it 3 times...he was not rev matching down shifts (burning clutch) and letting the clutch out at idle and spinning in like every corner. He was black flagged and held after brake checking me and another guy every time we sucked him up out of corners.

Then finally they put an instructor in the car with him for the 3rd session, and he just about wrecked the car when he turned traction control off.

I love newbs in vettes / vipers.

I had really shitty lap times compared to the 1.8 cars on ra-1's. The instructors had good things to say...but "you probably have another full second in the car, but not much more" means I won't catch up to the 1.8 cars on azenis until I change something. :wtc:

brand new surface, mostly paved paddock, 80' elevation change, no outside walls, multiple races every weekend, southern hospitality, a handfull of x-professional drivers, and inexpensive.

I've only run 6 tracks, but Hallett by far takes the cake. Summit Point looks awesome in the 2nd pic.

I think FIR is a little to open and high-speed for my liking.

Depending on which version is set up on a given day, it can feel that way. But some of the combinations are excellent!

400' in elevation change sucker!

the second one is Shenendoah...it's very sweet. Mini banked corner scaled-down replica of the Nurbegemgemeeburg.

My experience with Shenendoah:
http://www.lake-effect-racing.com/on...eo/td04v02.wmv

I was right behind the wall at the hill where he turned while cresting and lost it...and had to drive in the next run group.

But it is a very sweet track.

that's insane. I can't imagine what that much elevation change is like.
