While I'm in upside down land and cruising the classifieds, I've found some lovely gems. (Not cl, but same idea)

https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/ersk...wap/1211401155

Rx7 series 6 aus spec single 13b turbo. selling die to wanting a change. Car has 3 little spots of rust around back window other then that in really good condition body wise. Interior is nice and clean, has multiple speakers, amps and digital screens but they are not hooked up at the moment. Full coil over suspension all round the car. Has 12 months rego. has exhaust flapper to adjust loudness, brand new power windows. Looking at 29k or for swaps show me what you have worst I can say is no. Thanks

^ Wow.

That's the kind of seller who is going to be gravely disappointed, eventually.

"Old car. Rusty. High mileage. Ugly as hell. Has a bunch of gadgets, none of them work. US$20k."

Ah good ol' Scumtree.

Looks like a Queen St Racing car or something. They had a thing for white whale ***** leather and pink or purple paintjobs back in the day.

I had successfully repressed those memories, but, here we are.

thanks, I guess.

Not quite a craiglist find, but it is a junkyard find. This is a '01 with severe front end damage (both airbags popped), available at the junkyard now. The key is still there, the interior is filthy (there's even candy stuck in the window switch wtf!?!) but there are a lot of parts unmolested (rear lights, trunk, etc. full black interior, full trunk carpets, etc.) and it's located in LA, so it's perfect weather to be pulling out a motor if anyone needs one.:

Meh, if someone buys something like that they'll probably take it off road. Will they take it to its full capabilities? Probably not. Will it spend MOST of its time off road? Probably not, but it'll go there.

Guess that also depends on where you live though. Arizona/southern utah/nevada, itll go off road. You almost can't avoid it out there!

Overcompensating for something, specifically with the stupid cat decals.

Machine would likely be significantly improved with the addition of a diesel instead of that high RPM overworked Chevrolet.

I'm surprised it's not a diesel... that would make much more sense for an expedition rig. EDIT: went back and re-read the description... poser city. Meh.

It immediately reminded me of the 'kit' vehicle from last night's Grand Tour episode, though theirs actually completed an expedition...

i think you guys are seriously underestimating this vehicles capabilities. If the suspension is tuned at all, it will run 80 mph over any terrain you are willing to drive through. It had almost 50" tires and probably 16-20" of travel. In desert land, 4100 lbs is pretty light for a truck that size.

These builders cater to a particular crown. Nerds with a lot of money. They like lame stuff like CAT decals.

I don't think either of those vehicles would fit into my parking space.

Oh, they run forever. Everything underneath is damn near bullet proof. The things rust in all the wrong places though, and are nearly impossible to restore without spending a fortune.
