Again with the style bars...

turbofan Apr 26, 2014 01:57 PM

What's so bad about style bars? I mean, no rollover protection but its a perfectly acceptable way to mount seatbelt harnesses. I mean, they ARE steel, right?

1991 mazda miata (crystal white)

-Intake manifold was polished and then painted black
-The valve cover was polished then sent out for sand blasting and has a very nice, slate grey finish, it came out awesome.
-The throttle body has been polished and cleaned
-The air flow meter aluminum housing was polished and then painted.
Wut? WTF would you polish something then paint it?

Cometic 3 layer steal head gasket, this is a permanent replacement for the composite paper like head gasket that comes on the 1.6 mazda engine, this head gasket for turbocharged applications is good for 80 psi of forced induction pressure.
80 PSI of boost?

What a terrible way to waste a ton of money on a 1.6L Miata. I hope he's prepared to own it for the rest of forever.

Did a shitty polishing job? paint it black.

Look at the paint, u can clearly see dots all over it since he didnt clean it deep enough before polishing.

Look at the TB. Tons of streaks all over it. Shitty ass polish job..again.

https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1398630899

This also isnt polished good, still rough everywhere.

The paint is to cover up his lack of skills.

1992 Awesome MX- 5 Miata - $6200 (Quad Cities)

https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1399478722

https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1399478722

AWESOME

$6200 for a 1.6 with a salvage title, needs new tires, TAPOUT stickers.... Here's the posting, I bolded some stuff for the lolz:

This is a fun, inexpensive car. Since it is a 1992 it is now considered a classic car. It comes with a 1.6L 4 cylinder motor and has only 63,800 miles on it. It is a 5 speed and even has A/C. It comes with beautiful Progressive rims and Firestone Firehawk low profile tires. There is a Kenwood flip front AM,FM,CD player, an Orion 300w EQ, and a Jensen AMP. This was once used as a show car so there is additional striping, Orion and TAPOUT decals on it and an added spoiler. Mounted underneath the car are three red neon lights that still work. Some of the extras are a stainless steel exhaust and heavy duty clutch. When I bought the car many years ago it came with a salvage title. The guy had replaced the front clip. I have not had any problems with the car other than normal use stuff. It has been well taken care of and adult driven. Always had regular oil changes using only synthetic oil and I only run premium gas in it. There are a couple of dings on the doors from inconsiderate people in parking lots. When I bought the car the back window had been blackened out for the shows. So not knowing any better, I cut it out and put clear plastic in it which has worked fine and doesn't leak. It does come with a brand new convertible top in the box however it doesn't need one yet. Some other extras are a new cruise control in the box, and a set of brand new brakes for when the time comes and you need them, a storage cover, and a boot to cover the top when it is down. It probably could use new tires down the road sometime, however they are fine for now. All in all it is a nice car and has been alot of fun. Only serious inquiries please. $6200 CASH OBO. Please put "MIATA" in the subject line otherwise I won't open the email. There are just too many spams. Thanks..

$6200 CASH and this baby could be yours

But... But... Beautiful progressive rims and tapout decals....

triple88a May 7, 2014 11:31 PM

Since when do 195/60R14 tires qualify for "low profile"?

For a 12" wide wheel, don't tires want to start in the 285 range at the narrowest? Maybe a 285/30R15 would fit on there right.....

Monk May 12, 2014 01:33 PM

Everything else is so bad that I actually didn't see that until just now. But now that I have... It hurts my eyes to see that much of the rim sticking out.

If he were to install properly-sized tires, then it wouldn't look like the automotive equivalent of a distended anus.

Apparently this is considered to be a desirable thing in the drift-poseur community.

I think this qualifies as unique:

1995 Mazda Miata w/ factory hardtop - $4600 (Cedar Falls)

Link

https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1399919394

This is what appears to be a clean, tastefully modified NA w/ hardtop, for a reasonable price. I'm not in the market, but this could potentially be a good deal for someone. I wish this would have been out there when I was shopping a year ago. ***I have no affiliation with this dude, and haven't done any looking into this car, it's probably on ricelands with rusted out frame railz***
