DIY fuel injector cleaning kit

So it's 150 and then you see this:
and then you consider that most of us would use one once, maybe twice, ever, and your typical injector service at the popular places is 15-20/injector, and It's hard to talk yourself into getting it.
This is a nice well built unit but it doesn't come with a single adapter to hook it up. The Mityvac adapter kit MVA565 is an additional $130. Be sure to factor that in when buying.

Certainly would not buy something like that when a 9v battery, some alligator clips, some fuel line, and a syringe could be had for around 10 bucks. Pick your own poison for as to what to use for a cleaning agent. I tried this a long time ago, who knows if it made a difference, but it was kind of fun.
The peace of mind that would come with having a professional service test or "flow" the injectors after cleaning would be worth the extra money and time to me. In a pinch, I might consider a diy "redneck" method.
