The RCE springs a good ****, I have their wagon springs on the POS koni yellows. Maxed cmaber all around, didnt check caster because its a pain and not adjustable, zero toe all around. I've got the whiteline solid bar in the front and sti bar in the back, with kartboy endlinks because subaru thought it was a good idea to make the stock ones out of plastic.

I'd like this subaru subform. Too much face palming on NABSICO.

And another thing, twin scroll from kinugawa. My td04 has to be living on borrow timed at this point at 108k miles with almost 15k of that being run at ALLOFIT. And all my stock header heat shields are rusting apart. I'm thinking $1700 to get into a complete twin scroll setup with a TD06SL2-20G sounds pretty good I just have to slightly modify the downpipe. Or maybe drop a couple hundred more and get the STX67 which is basically a GTX3067R in a subie turbine housing. I know it clears the 2.5 WRX's oil pan but not sure about the oil cooler. Or I could be retarded and make my own UP/DP combo to run an EFR and start selling the EFR conversion bits for like half of what full race wants for it. I'm so torn.

Awesome LGT sean. So.. yes on the Subaru sub-forum? Seriously, it looks like we could keep it fairly active too.

I have a hard time paying only a couple hundred less for a "better quality chinacharger" than a proper/proven brand turbo.

I also would never run a tubular mani that wasn't FR or killerB...Unless you custom made one from proper materials similar to the two I listed.

I too am following the nabisco EFR thread, and you should do it. Only thing that would stop me from going that route is the fact that its a "rotated" setup that gets rid of all the support bracing to fit it in there, and that's a big no-no for me. if somehow someone figures out how to fit one in there in STOCK location (I know, impossibru) I'd be all over it.

My EFR setup would be "stock location". In that the compressor inlet and outlet matches up with the stock parts.

The STX67 is still a kinugawa turbo, but they basically take the garrett turbo they made for garrett (or made parts of for garrett) and put it in a turbine housing for it. Its not like they're ebay brand, they're an OEM supplier for a lot of turbos, pretty sure the stock td04 in my car was made in their plant, like most other stock mitsu turbos on the market. And I trust their tubular manifold, even though its 304 stainless its very thick wall, 1/2" flanges... and its kind of the manifold that tomi sells just marked way up. I would obviously replace all of the hardware and run OEM gaskets. The reason I'd rather go that way is that I know I can whip something like that into the car in a weekend and have it tuned enough to drive to work. The EFR setup is probably going to take longer than that.

You do realize the stupid crappy tomei header cracks too right?
I've replaced enough of these things on other people's cars by now to not trust any of them besides FR and KB

I'm sure there are others that are well made, but the typical Perrin, Maddad, Tomei, etc etc etc. its all junk IMO

I think a lot of the cracking issues from those are, unequal heat distribution, poor install, and no bracing. I think with swain coating and a better up pie brace they'll be fine. But I've only heard of the maddad cracking being a real issue, and that has 3/8" flanges and thin tubes. I think it will be fine. In twain manufacturing I trust. At worst if it cracks, I own a welder.

You sound like the n00bs on here that run ebay tin can headers.

But yeah you can weld so give it a shot. For science

ugh......looks like the Tokico D specs are discontinued. I have found a couple places that have them but at a steeper price. Was nearly sold on the RCE blacks/D specs. Only concern I have is if the front is low enough to get rid of the huge wheel well gap compared to rear. Some pics I have found look good and others...not so much.

Maybe wait for the TIC/HVT coilovers that are going to be the same thing as teh 949 techna's except for subarus. I'm considering them, but I'm also thinking I'll just bring my konis to solo nats, apologize to koni Lee for all the bad things I've said about konis on line and ask him to make me like konis while slipping him the spring rates of the RCE wagon springs, my corner weights, and unsprung mass estimates.

Interesting....

I will be keeping an eye on these. I was always a "it needs to be adjustable" until I got a set of properly setup FatCats. Having no adjustment would be good for me (cant leave sh.t alone).

stock wheels? I never really thought about going wider. I just put new tires on my 09. At least the car doesn't shake apart at 70mph anymore.

255s seem way wide for stock wheels. I have 225s on 17x8s for summers, of course they're RE01Rs, lol. I think I might go up to 245s for the next set of tires, but even the 225s seem fine. Cant decide between Rivals (super cheap) and AD08Rs (super awesome in the rain) at this point.

yeah the 225s fit pretty good as is. PO put 225/50/17s on it, some cheap Fuzion tires, they were awful. new tires seems quiter, and it's actually smooth now when I hit 70mph. Before once I hit that speed my steering wheel would vibrate pretty good.

starting to snow now, so i might even be able to see how they do in slush.

They really aren't that wide on the stock wheels. I thought it was gonna look ridiculous.
