Nah, I have a rear view mirror adhesive kit that I'm just too lazy to use, same with lubing the caliper.

I did test drive a certified pre-owned with only like 20K miles and the power to both seats and steering wheel didn't work (made it hard to test drive). I'm assuming someone did something stupid to it, but it had me worried. But this is why I'll be buying one with warranty still remaining.

I drove two hours to see one over the weekend. It's funny--I love my WRX seats and have no complaints about comfort level--but there's something about the ride of that MB, that I just didn't want to stop test driving it even after a long rediculous only 40mile, yet 2hr, drive down. Seats are comfortable and the car is a pleasure to drive. Very peppy

I still missed the WRX bolsters, they really hug you and keep you in place. The MB ones aren't as deep, and the 4dr model has pretty normal seats without any at all.
My C63 has mostly been ok. The motor at 2K miles got a rattle noise on startup. The dealer didn't fix it the first 3 times I brought them the car, but the 4th time I told them to check the timing chain, and they found a bad timing chain tensioner. They changed it and problem gone. 1K miles later, problem returned. At dealer now getting a new timing chain tensioner.

No idea why they have failed. What is odd is, this is the M156 motor, which when it was made was the first 100% AMG designed engine, and the C63 is the most reliable AMG model to date (also the simplest). Mine for some reason is having a timing chain tensioner issue. What's funny is, I have asked around and read online, I can't find ANYONE that's had this problem before.

Other than that, everything else about the car has been fine, no problems. It's never had a CEL, never left me stranded, etc. When a MB breaks a light comes on. When a BMW breaks you get it towed to the dealer.

And yes the ride very nice, it's a refined ride no doubt. You should see the seat bolsters in the C63. This is a random internet pic of them, mine look the same: http://community.evo.co.uk/users/Mon...02E42A475A.jpg

Back to reliability though, I bought mine with an extended warranty. If MB offers you the option to buy an extended warranty through them, I highly recommend you go home and find a dealer that will sell you that warranty for a good price. Mine was 7,200 at the dealer I bought the car from, I declined as I couldn't get them to come off the price enough. I got it for 4,300 from another dealer after doing my homework, and it's a 7yr/125K mile warranty through MB. If you decide to do this, I can find the contact info for the guy that I purchased mine from. It was literally 2 emails and a phone call to make it happen once I found the right guy.

I keep seeing the 4dr around, and think "hey, that's a slick looking sedan."

then i saw the coupe and I was like well ****...

when I was trying to come up with options I almost never even considered this, but saw it was feasible and had a package that I think I'd like.

300hp, awd, automatic. better mpg than the wrx.

Then I test drove one and I was pretty much sold.

Losing manual transmission is almost a non-factor because the thing shifts so smooth and reacts pretty well. I haven't gone too hard on one, but it always seemed to put it in the best gear at the right time. Of all the things that "annoyed" me with it, I never gave the trans a second thought.

Getting a car like this, might put me back into the miata game when I have the itch for another toy car. The WRX really fulfilled that desired, it's a seriously fun car to drive and I'm really going to miss the seats and steering feel.

The only thing this car doesnt have that I wanted, once I was dead set on one was the exterior color. I'd have prefered white or Palladium Silver but I was willing to compromise on it to get everything else.

The c350 coupe is tough to find. then it's tougher to find one with 4matic. then worse to find one with HID headlights as well. Most people lease them so I'm sure they don't check off all the options. This one even has the wheels I prefered, and I liked the tan interior much better than all black. I'm classy like that.

The color aint bad though, really metallic dark gray:

You do, it's AWD. I bet yours will cut a 60' time just as good if not better than mine!

Also just realized I've never uploaded any vids of my C63 to youtube... I have a few. I have at least one vid launching it. Funny thing is, with the tires the car came with, it was slower with launch control vs pedaling it out of the hole. I just got new Pilot Super Sports installed (stickier than the Continentals it had) so hoping it will launch a lot harder now. Launch mode immediately throws about 80% of the engines torque to the wheels, then it ramps up to the limit of traction. Well my old tires gave up at 60% so it would never hook. Once it did, and it was glorious. Hoping the PSS's fix this. Some C63 owners say they can get sub 4.0 0-60 times on their stock C63s with launch control and PSS's.

Yeah that's true. I just meant that if we lined them up and raced, since yours is AWD your car will launch about as hard as mine will since mine is only RWD. I've brake boost launched the other MB AWD vehicles I mentioned, they're stupid quick out of the hole.

Does it take off in 1st gear when in sport mode? I'm driving a GLK350 now (same motor the C350 has I believe) and it takes off in 2nd.
