del Sol, Miata's top competitor in early 90's...
thought I post my del Sol dyno for the heck of it. since back in the days these cars were usually compared...

to bad the chassie was like ##$%

where's the torque? :greddy:
|
Where's the torque? Del Sol is even more gay than the Miata.
|
don't need torque if you got the revs mang. 9900 rpm all day long. but geez, so much love from another gay car owner. :gay: :rly:  it's ok, i'm used to it. chassis is fine, double A arm susp. handling is exceptional for FWD.

I'm sorry my mom had a stick Del Sol with the best stock Vtec motor in it and my Miata would walk that thing all day long. I'm not even turbo yet. I'd venture to say that the Del Sol was one of the weakest honda's I have ever driven IMHO. My Moms could hardly get out of its own way let alond deal with traffic on the highway.
I guess I shouldn't be so harsh cause I like lots of cars that most people don't like but that car really let me down after all I had heard about it. Miata, Better then I thought it was gunna be. To each his own!!!!! Much props to you for tracking one!!!! |
this ain't you mom's stock delSlow. (which stock for was was way faster than the Miata, you sure your mom didn't have the SOHC VTEC instead of the DOHC VTEC?) :eek5: :vash: OTOH... i love little cars so i <3 Miata and delly's. w00 h00!
|
I've got a soft spot in my heart for del slows :)
|
my friend had a del sol with a fully built h22 and a big t3 turbo--fast.
there cool cars i think.as with miatas and sols some look bad ass others look :gay: i just like the rwd a little better |
V-ATTACK!!!!
Nice Sol, I came to Miatas from Hondas too. I miss my B16A-swapped 90 CRX Si sometimes. Which is that, B18C? Strider - No way she had the Del Sol VTEC and was getting beaten by a stock n/a Miata. Probably a SOHC. |

you guys are retards. An old friend of mine had one of these cars with a H22 prelude engine swap with full exhaust, headers and some other stuff. I used to make fun of it too until i got a ride. With 100 lbs of torque he was spinning till 3rd gear with my fat ass in the car (240+)

I have a buddy that I track with who rolls a del sol with an ITR (220whp)swap and ground controls on victoracers.
That fucker is fast. It pulls me hard on the straights, and we are neck and neck in the corners. It is gayed out fwd, but the best performing fwd car I've tracked with. |
 At deleting my post <3 miataturbo

i find it funny some of you down play FWD but it is obvious that those of you make that comment have never driven a properly setup FWD car. :td:
|
chassie is not rigid at all. It is basically a chopped civic. Takes alot of bracing to get it stiff. A friend of mine use to have one. He had almosted stripped. Rear window was lexan. It was quick
