Dumb noob question but would anyone know where the hideaway key is hidden on the NA?? I've recently locked my keys in the car and only had one key, the problem is solved after I broked my window and replaced it, I had a hard top mind you. Anyway, it would of been nice if I knew this tidbit before my dilemma, I know you can make a new cut but it would also be nice if I can not have the key hidden somewhere on the miata. I've seen another thread about the hideaway key but the description was vague. PM if we don't want the whole world to know where its located.

sorry, I guess I wasn't clear enough haha, doesn't the NA chassis have a magnetic box with a key in it hidden somewhere? I can't seem to find it, there's was a thread about a person finding his, I'm searching through the front front air dam feeling for it but I can't find it, I'm assuming I probably don't have one or maybe just not looking in the right area. I'm not asking for recommendations on where to hide a key haha, I'm asking where's the location of the hideaway key is on a NA model. I want to find it and put it away instead of having it attached to the car somewhere. Cheers!

-edit-
what's er? sorry, haha, I also have the plastic key in the card that you can pull out, that wouldn't be one in the same as the key hidden in the megnetic box would it??

chricto 05-20-2008 07:42 AM

is he serious?

Torkel 05-20-2008 07:42 AM

I need the key, haha, since I kind of locked my last remaining brain cell haha in the trunk while I was looking for the Hide-a-butt-plugg that comes with the NA miata haha I am not looking to hide a plug haha just where to find it.

I just wish I could have seen him searching all over the car for the key. Now THAT would have been entertainment.

Yeah I saw that thread also. What a moron indeed.

That moron is a prime example on why he's on CR.net & not MT.net.

Wow, just wow.

I love the front air dam part. Its good to know that they are made of ferrous metal.

boostinboy 05-20-2008 02:28 PM

Wow! i really don't know what to say about this.

The magnets stick to the hood better than the air dam in my experience

ala knight rider FTW
I just sold my steering wheel too, I could have saved this car.

cardriverx 05-20-2008 07:57 PM

ironic enough, the last owner of my car left a magnetic key box in the trunk, which I found... lol
