Myself as well as friends of mine have driven some really fast cars over the years, all muscle and drag cars. When I let them drive my car or give them a spirited ride, you can see tell they like the experience. Most of them are too macho to admit it, but the look on there face gives it away.

my grandpa has a Lotus Super 7. that thing is so bare bones, and unbelievably quick. I dont want anything to happen to him ever... but i can only hope that i inhereit that bucket... lol

My friend's 1st gen Neon scares the shit out of me. No power steering, no LSD, and about 280whp. It refuses to actually go straight and still spins when you hit 4th gear. I went about half throttle and was like, "NOPE!" Then he drives it and I feel like I went into space. Now he's got an NA shell and is going to try to drop an SRT4 motor into it. Gonna be interesting.

Yeah, that'd make me shit myself. Neon's have got potential that most people don't realize. Also doesn't help that the majority of that scene is a bunch of dbags.

I've driven some fast cars but most were "stock" fast.

One of the surprising ones was my friends SLS. Took out of his garage and went down his straight 1 mile long driveway. Middle of driveway my friend started yelling at me to slow down, I looked at him like he was crazy. He told me to look at the speedo and we were doing 140....I could of sworn we were not anywhere near 60.

Honestly speed is cool....but not what I am looking in a car. One of the best cars I've ever driven that gave me that special something something was a Aston Martin V8 Vantage....I loved everything about that car even though it was a flappy paddle one.

Go drive a shifter kart. There are plenty of cars that are faster, but nothing feels as fast.

Believe the car eventually made over 700whp on nitrous.

No kidding. I can not imagine what they feel like. I have driven a friends rotax kart, and man was that insane.

Nothing like going 55-60mph inches from the ground with you spine as the main suspension piece. And lets not even talk about acceleration.

Only thing I've been in that felt faster than a shifter kart was our FSAE car. Between the gearing, weight, and RPM you're turning, it felt like it was going to rip your face off.
