This dude is too good of a driver for a Miata v.GTR

This dude from another forum previously told me he is too good of a driver to waste time in a Miata and needs a car with more potential, so he built a 900hp GTR. Here is a video of his excellent driving:

Make sure and take notes, you might learn something.

hustler 10-05-2012 03:58 PM

I especially like the parts where he downshifts on corner exit.

pusha 10-05-2012 04:00 PM

Typical squid, fast only in a straight line and has to damn near stop to turn

hustler 10-05-2012 04:10 PM

Now he's telling me he needs Mansorry carbon brakes because he's so extreme that pads are only lasting him 10-days. lololol

pusha 10-05-2012 04:13 PM

He sounds rich. You should blow him.

Braineack 10-05-2012 04:34 PM

I'm so confused by the engine noise in the video...

Joe Perez 10-05-2012 04:40 PM

So, it's basically a series of dragstrips which are inexplicably interconnected by turns.

Also, what the hell happened at 2:00? I literally cannot figure that out.

Needs carbon brakes.

Clutch basket broke.

Fireindc 10-05-2012 04:51 PM

ITT: GTR drivers suck.

thenuge26 10-05-2012 04:51 PM

Duh, he has to downshift at the corner exit, because it sounds like when he didn't he had some nasty compressor surge.

soviet 10-05-2012 05:12 PM

what the fuck is that line?
why did he park in the middle of the track?

wat.jpg

edit: link to thread?

be good 10-05-2012 05:37 PM

AMP i love that track lol!

Splitime 10-05-2012 05:49 PM

Without audio, it feels like a slow Sunday drive.

GeneSplicer 10-05-2012 06:37 PM

That's at AMP - need to finish miota, hop over and eats some lizard for breakfast...

I must troll - forum and user name plz

pusha 10-05-2012 08:05 PM

is anyone here on CornerCarvers? I can't remember my login info and I don't want to wait another 6 months for an admin to approve memberships.

Enginerd 10-06-2012 09:56 AM

Not to be confused with :::~ CarversCorner.com ~::: ?

This guy is a horrid.

Doppelgänger 10-06-2012 10:01 AM

So he lives in GA? Got a forum or screen name to post? Chances are I can meet him face to face and troll the shit out of him....seriously.

elesjuan 10-06-2012 03:50 PM

Think I could peddle my bike around the track faster than that.

Why does this remind me of crotchrocket riders? Stupid fucking squids that think they're too good for a 600 as a first bike they've ever sat on so it's off the 1000RR and R1's. Idiots.

pusha 10-06-2012 09:26 PM

Just like how ever beginning rider should start on a 250 Ninja, every driver should start in a Miata.*

*i know the kart argument but we're talking "dual purpose" vehicles

Sentic 10-08-2012 05:15 AM

I'm giving you a prop for that one pusha, right in line with my own thoughts.

psreynol 10-08-2012 06:27 AM

you know what they say.... you will never drive a fast car fast until you can drive a slow car fast. so true so true.

Ryan_G 10-08-2012 08:28 AM

I do not think every rider should start on a 250. I think no one needs more than a 600 though. My brother for instance is 6'4" and around 250lbs and there is no way he could even ride a 250. It is also good to have enough power to get out of your own way on a motorcycle because you often have to avoid other people who don't see you.

sixshooter 10-08-2012 08:32 AM

I've seen better lines on a prisoner's shirt.

thenuge26 10-08-2012 08:39 AM

Also, I don't have a turbo yet, so this still applies (and I believe it too, since I bought this car). "It's more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow."

Was Z Nationals yesterday at Barber - put on by Z1 Motorsports. I'm super glad I didn't instruct this one - stopped into see some of my buds and hit BassPro right next door. I've never seen/saw so much ass-hat arrogance at a track before. By noon, there were 5 totalled cars, four from the novice group alone. Sadly, none of them was a GTR...

A couple snaps of cars that succumbed to idiocy.. This 23yrold novice's porsche is fubar... pushed it in the kink and got bit..

the 300zx should be easy to fix, so long as he doesnt have to replace the valve cover gaskets:

karter74 10-08-2012 11:31 AM

The VG30DETT. Great engine on paper I'm sure, horrible execution.

I remember back in the day when HPT had like $20 HPDE days..

https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...1&d=1349711158

V6 Automatic fireturd was the only car I ever saw crash at nearly a dozen events.

Crikey!

Grand Moff Tarkin had an easier time finding the hidden rebel base.

It'll buff right out.

dk wolf 10-08-2012 05:40 PM

We had an S2k out here a while back catch fire during an Autox... lol

Apparently their oil filter seem to "shimmy" off when you constantly drive flat out.. or something like that.

Full_Tilt_Boogie 10-08-2012 07:32 PM

I liked the part where he drove down the middle of the track.

hustler 10-08-2012 07:49 PM

I like the few places where he pretends he needs to track out all the way.

Bryce 10-08-2012 08:54 PM

I like the part where the train of cars passed him almost immediately after he pulled over.

Full_Tilt_Boogie 10-08-2012 09:03 PM

I liked the beginning where he was running as fast as the 7th gen Honda civic (probably the lamest civic ever made) until he gets to the straight.

Always a classic

Braineack 10-09-2012 10:51 AM

I like the part where he shifts without moving his hands from 11 & 1.

:( me too

Braineack 10-10-2012 06:44 PM

just imagine a drag racer, and add in some corner with zero throttle input and rev blips without shifting.

Enginerd 10-12-2012 10:45 AM

And braking after starting to turn.
