Dumbass of the , name your time period.

I really hate typing but I've got to share this story. So I'm a therapist at a hospital and know this dude who's a nurse there. guy works an insane amount of hours , like 9 or 10 days out of 14 , 12 hour shifts. So he can afford his crazy high child support and "save money for my Lambo fund" Turns out he has this stupid idea that he's gotta have a Lamborghini. I thought he was simply blowing smoke until a couple of weeks ago when he declares that he has finally found someone to finance a mid 80's lambo for him. car cost was in the 40's. I asked him about what kind of garage he had to park it in and turns out he didn't even have one. plans to use a car cover. Anyway he was supposed to get it last week so I ask for an update as he was looking kinda punked at work. Turns out the idiot had wired the "loan company" 8400.00 dollars in two seprate payments as collateral for the privately backed loan. Of course after enticing him to send the 2nd payment they diappeared. Internet company. I laughed my ass off so hard I thought he was going to try and kick my ass. Sad thing is he borrowed 2500.00 from his mother to send to them. second sad thing is he is so "lambo blind" that he actually asked me what I thought about some 5 cent stock he's considering buying a thousand shares of to build back up his "lambo fund". meanwhile he continues to walk around wearing his ebay bought lambo jacket.

I blame the greedy loan company. (this is what we do in America right?)

No, we blame the government for not controlling the loan company enough :jerkit: .

m2cupcar 10-16-2008 11:38 AM

Yes... we'll soon be paying for his mistake.

Oh I forgot, the Goverment does an exceptional job of things when it controls things...

Hmmm. Tell your nurse friend that I'll be happy to finance the the purchase of his Lambo, and I'll only require $6,000 as collateral against the loan. :D

In all seriousness however... Since he's talking about a "Mid 80's Lamborghini" (and I assume he's not hunting for a Jalpa) then we're stuck with the Countach. Your friend needs to watch this video before actually putting any money anywhere:

Woohoo, we sparked another political thread.

The government shouldn't NEED to control the loan company more. This tool should know that he can't afford what he was trying to buy and continue o work the way he is until he can...or settle for, god forbid, NOT owning a Lambo on a nurse's salary. What the hell is he going to do when shit starts to break on his 80's Lambo he's going bankrupt over anyway?

y8s 10-16-2008 12:14 PM

umm... regulation is irrelevant if the loan company doesn't care about the law in the first place.

if I shoot you in the face, you're just as dead whether it's explicitly illegal to shoot someone in the face or not.

Um, I work 14 out of 14 days. What's crazy about 9 or 10 out of 14?

How does someone that dumb get through nursing school? No wonder our health care system sucks. Who has ever heard of sending money to a loan company to secure a loan? Who doesn't question that? Over the net?

Darwin says this guy deserves the lambo. When he finds out that the new wheel bearings it needs are $3500 each we'll see how long the love affair lasts. Maybe it will be a murder/suicide killing himself and the car when he takes it into a bridge abutment.

Mymiataflys 10-16-2008 12:42 PM

Yes it's a Jalpa. this was a internet scam job. I just couldn't believe he was stupid enough to send cash "collateral" to someone on the net to secure a loan. and he did it twice in one week! He also bought one of those mustangs with the "shaker" hood and DOHC motors, new a few years ago , because it's going to be a "collectors car"................ not in his life time.

When loan brokers falsify income information and shoehorn people into fancy loans claiming they're better (only because they carry a higher commission) then we blame the loan companies.

Wait a sec...

Your buddy has been lusting after a Lambo, saving up money, venturing into risky loan agreements, etc etc., and the car that he's willing to pay upwards of $40k for is a friggin' Jalpa? The "poor man's Lambo"?

:hahano:

Hell, even if he hadn't been swindled, this guy is still a retard. (and he still needs to watch May's review on the subject of Lamborghini ownership.)

Mymiataflys 10-16-2008 05:06 PM

This guy is such a tool. The only reason I talk to him is to find out what kind of stupid shit he's up to. I don't know squat about lamboghinis, hell I can't even spell it, but after reading some 25 year old Car&Driver article he had printed out on the thing I could tell it wasn't anything special. Pretty ugly also. He bascily thinks Lambos are the greatest cars on earth and he's got to have one.
1. Nevermind his credit sucks.
2. He has no secure parking area.
3. He has no mechanical ability at all
4. He's addicted to xanax.
5. He has no time to enjoy it , since he would have to work all the time to pay for it.
6. He just got scammed for 8400.00
