I found the truck Monday night and we took Wednesday off to go up and buy it. My father and I signed for the corporation and my brother got his new truck. He's happier than a pig in shit.

Much, much different than our 86'-88' sierras with 454's and 4 speeds. Lol

Dat Allison?

I think the first test needs to be which is stronger, Vash's fist or the new truck. A solid cement wall is all you need to test with.

My right hand is finally healed, so I'm going to have to pass on that. Lol

Congrats man, hope it serves you well.
My mechanic just bought one two days ago, 4x4 SRW LT Crew cab, but same motor/trans and he loves it!
I know they are good trucks, their resale value speaks for everything.

My father-in-law just upgraded from his 2001 Duramax/Allison quad cab to a 2013 Duramax/Allison quad cab. They are good trucks. His retirement hobby is restoring late 50's John Deere 2 cylinder tractors, and he regularly tows two of them. I haven't had a chance to check out the new truck yet, since he's in KY and I'm in Portland, but the old truck was still solid at 200k miles.

Edit: his trucks are what keep me thinking someday, maybe, enclosed trailer and dedicated track car ... and a lift in his shed somewhere ... lol

Thanks again for the help man!

Yeah I wish this one was a LT Crew cab, but maybe we'll try for that on the next one. lol

That's good to hear cause this thing is going to rack up miles quick. I'm already looking for another one because this thing is so great. :bigtu:

Yet we just sent out a $1700 check to our mechanic for having him replace a rear main seal and clutch on one of our 88's. Brilliant I know.

Family friend's of mine used to tow an aluminum boat behind their popup camper with their explorer. You have to be very mindful of where you're going so as not to have to back it up, but the good part was the boat could be moved around by hand if need be.
