So wait...with your crazy socialist government and the terrible healthcare plan and whatnot that everyone knocks on, you were still able to get medicine within a day or two of getting sick? IMPOSSIBLE!!! Only in the U.S. can people get treated when they feel like going to the doctor!!
Got a cough? Must be depressed!
Urinating blood? Depressed
Cant sleep? Depressed
Filling fell out? Not possible, likely depressed.
as for our healthcare, i think the only complaints with people around here is the wait times. I have waited 3 months for knee surgery while on crutches. I have waited with both my son and or myself 6+ hours in emerg + multiple hours in another waiting room or room / storage facility (yea, really).
But hey, we pay out the *** on everything so it would be silly to expect enough hospital staff (surgeons are majorly underpaid here). I think US surgeons make around 50% more and do a fraction of the surgeries (according to the show i watched a few weeks back).
14% tax on everything from food, taking a dump to breathing. Its a huge sham!
And if you are a white boy just like me, times are changing. Visible minority, get in line sucka is what they are saying.
YEA CANADA!

Eh..ER visits aren't exactly fast here either. When I had an accident and my achilles tendon was severed in half, I had to wait in the ER wating room for 3 hours. I couldn't even move to go anywhere because they had no wheelchairs available. But when I got stung by a bee and was complaining of chest and back pain...boy did I get into a room in about 2.5 seconds! The medical plan I have right now from my job has me paying out $2,500 before they cover ANYTHING.
Dammit...why do we keep getting off the subject of food? I'm almost tempted to go hit up Arby's for a Roast Chicken Club.

Three-quarters of all medical spending goes to treat largely preventable chronic diseases. Most are caused by individuals failing to control their own smoking, alcohol consumption, obesity, blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol.
What we should so is make it illegal to smoke, drink alcohol, eat McDonalds, get mad, eat candy, eat trans fats.
Problem solved.

You know what might work too? If all citizens were required to exercise daily. We could install telescreens into our homes and the gov't could monitor us and make sure we were doing our routines.
