Default Discount electronics stores... your favorite?

I've got some things I want to buy and am doing my homework... what are your favorite online discount electronics places for refurb'd, closeouts, open-box, etc? If anybody says ******* Crutchfield I'll e-thug your nutz flat.

I'm a big fan of ECost and Tigerdirect... what else you got?

ComputerGeeks, in Oceanside.

Despite the name, they also sell a lot of consumer electronics and a lot of weird miscellaneous crap that you'd normally expect to see on Woot.com. Their inventory is a mix of new, discontinued, refurb, open-box, pulls, etc.

There is a Fry's here in town... whenever I have an hour to kill while I'm out running chores, I'll stop in there just to keep up to speed on what **** costs. I've bought from JR before... my Panny projector. I'll check them out.

Online is not required, but I can usually find online cheaper... especially when there's a mass quantity of some refurb'd item.

Joe, that Geeks website is pretty good... I like it better than Ecost... and it has a few items I haven't found other places.

I've been looking for a small'ish LCD for my stateroom. This one is perfect sized so I can actually mount it in my rack. I just bought it. Ecost had a 22" Sammy but it's not VESA mountable... this one is perfect.
23" Samsung SyncMaster 2333HD 1080p Widescreen LCD HDTV - 16:9 10000:1 (Dynamic) 5ms 2 HDMI ATSC/NTSC Tuners (Black) Samsung 2333HD

Yeah, I love 'em. Their store (which is co-located with the warehouse and has a will-call desk) is only about 20 minutes from where I used to work in Vista, so I bought all of my computer stuff from them.

EDIT: I thought you moved to San Diego?

eCOST.com - Your Online Discount Superstore for Electronics, Computers, MP3 Players and more!

I've ordered lots of **** from them and never had a bad experience. They even pulled a receipt for me from a 2-year old purchase.

+1 on Newegg. I have bought several items from them. I just bought this USB Bluetooth adapter the other day, PNP, $20 to my door.
Newegg.com - cirago BTA-3210 USB 2.0 Micro Bluetooth Dongle support Bluetooth 2.1 - Network - Bluetooth
Also if you are not sure exactly what you want, but have an idea, their customer product reviews are usually very helpful. There are a few ubergeeks there so the the reviews are usually a lot more informative than "I got iT and It RulZ!"

I wish Frys would open up a store in San Antonio and hold Worst Buy's feet to the fire.
For DIY computer stuff we do have ACS, Welcome to Amenity Computer Services, Inc., which usually has decent prices on most items.

Well, hopefully you bought something nice for yourself. Like three Complete Fish Training Systems.

Well, I just cancelled my order from Geeks for that TV because I found it for $40 less at TechForLess.com. I paid $204 shipped for that refurbished 23" Sammy. I've been looking for weeks now and trying make up my mind.

I still need a couple 2.5" external Harddrives. I think I'm just gonna get them at Costco and be done with it.

Also just bought these:
Amazon.com: Sennheiser PX 100 Collapsible Headphones: Electronics
I've got 2 other pairs of Sennheisers that I didn't want to take to the boat. These are cheap and decent for all my needs, plus they're still fairly open which will let me hear hear the various ships' sounds and the 1MC while I'm using them.

Only Newegg for me. I didn't realise how much I shop with them until I looked at my purchase history. Just in the last 3 years I have spent $3500 on 8-10 purchases, some big and some small. Always ships out same day (if you order before something like 3PM and pay the extra $2.99 for rush processing) and shipping is usually very fast even with standard shipping.
