Got this new Almost carbon fiber UBER light deck as a gift. I've wanted it for awhile now, but I just couldn't justify buying myself a new deck.

They are made with a carbon fiber skeleton and covered by a normal 7 ply layup. So no more worries about snapping the deck off a set of stairs (even though its been years since I've fucked with stairs) lol

I'm ordering a new set of hardware for it and gonna hopefully get back into it. Longboarding is way more hardcore than regular skating, but I do miss fucking around on rails and shit here and there.

That deck is pimpin. Rodney Mullen has always been my favorite skater.

Its been like 4 or 5 years since i've had a board. About 6 months ago I hopped on a friend's board and was surprised that I can still land a nollie 360 flip =O (after 15 or so tries). I even had a good time just ollieing shit in the driveway. Seems to be like riding a bike in a lot of ways.

I've been thinking more lately about picking up another board but my car saps up all my extra cash. Is it still ~100 bucks for decent setup these days?

You can def throw a decent setup together for $100. Shit now with ebay you could probably do it for $75ish. I usually ride girl decks, this is my first almost. I have used grind king trucks since I was 10, but will probably switch to independents for this deck. Lucky hardware cause I like the lucky green bolt. And ricta or darkstar wheels with lucky or bones bearings.

I'll probably skate till I cant anymore, I love it to death. I never was super good with flat ground flip tricks or anything like that. I was always drawn to stairs and rails. I would really like to get into vert skating more.

Rodney Mullen is a goddamn machine. And sweet deck brah.

I'm gonna have to look into this more seriously now. I have a strange motivation to get back into skating. No insurance so no stairs and rails for me anymore. I've broken my ankle on a mini ramp so no more of those either =P
