Oh damn I wish i had integrated velocity stacks. Also I've thought about putting a bigger TB on it. I bought it from someone on this forum...or well they used to be, I think really only for sales.

One thing to be careful of, only because I've had to deal with it. make sure you have somewhere to mount the throttle cable bracket. The side walls are really thin and aluminum, bolts don't get enough threading to hold and not strip the threads.

ventri's FTW.

I'm going to stick with the stock TB, to retain the idle valve (without having to go all fujiracing remote) and because with boost it's not a restriction.

otherwise other than welding itself, it shouldn't be too bad. I'll be able to weld all the bung I need on and make sure the TB bracket has plenty of threading

Default CR.net gang

I recruited and spent some time with a bunch of CR.net guys at Miata Mash II at AAA Speedway/Fontana in May. It was the first time I had hung out with the "KINOD" crew. They were all very nice. I do not care for their cars though. Just not my cup of tea. I am ALOT older than them so the "JDM" look is lost on me I suppose. I like 'em straight up and built or speed and handling. My car actually won the car show that day.

Anyway, dont bang on those guys too much. They are just doin' what we do. They are into their cars as well and having fun.

Regards, pwcfan

I ran into a guy a few weeks ago in Albuquerque (New Mexico) with a 1.8 bp powered 914. He made a custom intake with 2 motorcycle carbs on it. That plus a header and he claimed 130ish on the wheels. Corrected for the elevation I believe... It sure did sound pretty bitchin'.

It was funny though because I was with my friend who is a 914 nut. We kind of looked at each other and both thought the same thing, our cars running into each other head on and melding.

Actually the motor was from a Protoge, because it was easier to route the coolant.

If you want a hot so you can take the fenders off and have exposed motor so bad...why not just get one? I will never understand. It hurts my head too much.

The part I just don't get is the excessive lowering. How the hell do you drive it and not scrape the fenders and tires all to crap? Plus, the wheel being cocked in like that, aren't you going to get uneven tread wear? Is it simply a case of style over function?

You guys are fucken funny.

What is the difference between you making a car turbo and fast and them dumping down and putting wheels. They both serve the purpose that person is looking for.

Peter is a really nice person and a like able kid that uses correct grammar and doesnt talk like a hood rat ricer douche.

relax, my car has a bit of that style and is a fast turbo/track car. Drift or not.. Oh ****, I drift.. LOL
