I was going to bitch about the 10-bolt, but I guess it'd be strong enough for such a light car and that engine.

I'm going to say thats one of the more dangerous things I've seen attempted...very sick though.

Maybe 2 persons? fwiw, when I was a teenager I was surrounded by Seat 600 cars. The same car but built in Spain. This was the only car that could be afforded by middle class Spaniards at that time. Millions of these cars were built and sold. I'm sending this thread to some friends.

Thanks Rick!

I'll see if I can get some pics of the original cars in different trims. You should see when there's a meeting of Seat 600 owners in Spain even now! The last meeting I saw pics of there were more than 5,000 there.

What young people at that time used to do was to install a Fiat Abarth engine on them.

One other thing; the original car's engine was in the back. People would put sandbags in the front to prevent the car from lifting the front wheels! The same thing happened some years later when the Renault 8 came out.

Sorry, this just takes me back in time.

Just in case anyone wants to see the original version: http://www.microcarmuseum.com/tour/seat600.html

My apologies Rick; I really couldn't resist!
