Default Hey guys, new here.

Hello hello,

I'm looking into putting together a turbo system for my 91 that I'm in the process of restoring. Took her from basicaly junk yard condition to something that you wont close your eyes while driving. Been reading up and will have a bunch of questions in the future. (I will also use the search button )

I've put together a turbo kit for my CRX back in 98, from a DSM T25. So I'm not too much of a noob to FI. I also have a few other cars, one of them is factory S/C'd and all of them Toyota's.

So I have a line on a T25 from a sr20 (friend is upgrating) in perfect shape, little to no shaft play, no oil leaks. I'm thinking Bell Manifold/DP, some intercooler and MegaSquirt MSPNP ECU, SS lines for the oil, maybe even for the water, and some recirculating BOV. If you want to make some suggestions please do. Looking at around 160whp before upgrading the rear end.

I see that there are a bunch of people here from the DC area, might have to get together with you guys and chat also.

Here is the pic of the car after I got it back from the body shop:

all the N/A local guys meet up often as well (go to M.net > northeast > "now that it's warm out")

..oh, and is that the church in Herdon close to Chuckie Cheese?

Welcome you will surpass 160whp very quickly why not run 200 or so and then find a rear end properly managed the 1.6 rears are ok.

Yup, you can check out my vbGarage for how I'm doing with the exact turbo you mention. Great spool and at 190whp right now. Unless you can weld, you can't beat the Begi Manifold and DP. It'll run you about $750 for both of them shipped, but well worth the piece of mind that they'll last forever.

The components you mention, with a good exhaust and tune should make a nice 200whp at 10-11psi. You can hold on to the 1.6 rear until it breaks. I've been running decent boost now for 5k miles on mine. Just don't drag or drift it and you can get some respectable mileage out of one. I've got AAA so I'm not worried when it breaks. There are always Torsens for sale.

I'm down in VaBch if you wanna come take a look.

That is a good looking Miata. Would you post some pictures of the interior and engine bay?

Are you going down on Memorial Day weekend? A bunch of buddies and I are renting a house down near mile marker 18, right on the beach for the whole weekend. I was looking for an excuse to drive the Miata down there. If that's the time you're gonna be there, I may bring it. You can have a look.

Your turbo plans sound great. But yeah, you'll be past 160whp in no time. What wheels are those and any more pics?

yeah I can throw up some more pix of it. They are Rota RB's 15x7 +30.

I don't have any engine bay shots (think stock with 185k and half way clean). Interior looks stock with 99 Black seats and a HDDD Roll Bar.

Actualy it would be easier if you just go to the thread where I documented the body work on the car.....it was a mess.

Also here is a pic of our two Celica's (The wife and I met a little over 4 years ago because of these cars)

I live in fairfax and am rocking the same setup. Feel free to take a look at mine. Also, I think with your setup your miata will put down as much torque as your 2 celicas combined (160?!) haha jk

The Celica's put down around 135wtq. With 184whp. Not too shabby. Both the wife and I are very over FWD though :(
