BenR 06-06-2008 05:11 PM

I was looking at it this morning and noticed the pictures didn't quite match the catagory.

the new site looks great by the way. however I'm still going to pester you about those images! you display a "medium sized" image on the product page with a thumbnail below it but reality is that the thumbnail is just an HTML scaled down "large" image. it's inefficient. like running a 5" turbo inlet and using a 4" to 2" reducer on a tiny turbo.

oh and I like the heatshield. I bet it smells bad when it's in use though.

Black text on the gray background is a little hard to read, especially for us old folks. Just a comment. Pick another color, or FAIL. ;)

PS - My car is missing from projects in the shop... or has it been moved to the out house?

+1
It'll just be some php code in one of the osCommerce directories that needs to be slightly edited. Whoever did the site definitely should have caught that and fixed it.... let me know if you need any help getting that fixed, it'll take me all of 5 min.

Sorry to sink your boat Steph but that site is UUUUUUUUUUGLY.

I fixed a bunch today. Including the tire/heatshield. That was a :bang: moment.

They are re-sized lg photos. But if you click on the med size image a larger photos pops up. Does that make a difference?

The thumbnails were primarily to show how many different photos there were.

Just saw the Lime Rock pics. I didn't know you were there, and nobody mentioned it in the LRP thread on m.net

That black Ferrari parked by the chalet was sex on wheels, eh?

I see that, still think there should be an "if number of pictures > 1, show those thumbs" that way if there is only one picture, it will just show the large view without the extra thumb.

i'm gonna have to agree with sam, the new site is ugly........i like the way it shows the catagories in the image icons but over all its ugly lol

hahahaha

Btw. If you guys decide to ask for ur money back from the guys you used, I know a guy in Austin that can make a site probably 10 times better and at a 1/4 of the cost.

UrbanSoot 06-07-2008 12:13 AM

i personally dont like it :/

UrbanSoot 06-07-2008 12:14 AM

if you want to redo it - let me know. my partial and temporary portfolio: www.positiveblue.com

I don't see my before and after dyno charts for this product http://www.bellengineering.net/produ...roducts_id=256

Otherwise I actually like the way the new site is setup/looks.

Stephanie Turner 06-07-2008 12:13 PM

Yeah, I still have a few dyno sheets, instructions, and partners to put up. Right now I am trying to get the products up that have been missed, and fix wrong product photos.

Sorry some of ya'll are digging the new site, but it is more complete than the previous version and much easier to navigate. So, hopefully that is something...
Stephanie

I think it looks great. It's not supposed to be a glamour site, it's supposed to be a business site with lots of info and parts. mission accomplished.
