this is so not fun, i want my miata :(

paul 01-28-2008 09:29 PM

excuse me for sounding like a know-it-all, i can't help it because i am, but that is not an A package. its a base model. 1991 A package would have power steering and a leather wheel.

Rafa 01-28-2008 09:50 PM

Scott, I think you should follow up on the one Ben suggested.

samnavy 01-28-2008 11:17 PM

They don't get much cleaner than that... a hose-down of the engine bay and that thing is ready to go. Ditch the AC and you've got a winner... if you like red :ugh2:

scfreshy 01-28-2008 11:48 PM

The Z-car wheels on the first one are the best selling point!!
lol

Just buy one already! How many miles on the second?

rappadan 01-28-2008 11:59 PM

wow that last car is crazy clean. Buy it!

miataz 01-29-2008 12:42 AM

you think people would shine up the engine bay before they sell it so its easier to sell, but for some reason they leave it all nice a dirty, still bugs me.

mazda/nissan 01-29-2008 09:14 AM

well when i'm shopping for cars its the shiny engines that i worry most about

Braineack 01-29-2008 09:18 AM

This one was owned by a lady (50s) since 1996. Only selling because she sold her two homes and is moving in with her in-laws and has no room for it. Very well kept, I like it better than the first for a few reasons. Insurance is coming out today to adjust ours, I'll most likely go with this one over the previous. Hopefully by this weekend....sorry im picky and slow, its cold out and I have a feeling im not warm blooded and i tend to slow down in winter months.

rotaryjunky 01-29-2008 10:27 AM

Definitely go with the second one. Looks very nice. LSD to sell from it?

Braineack 01-29-2008 10:35 AM

probably not, it's a base model. seems like the only option is the A/C.

Ben 01-29-2008 10:39 AM

If you have the VIN, I can tell you how it was equipped from the factory

Braineack 01-29-2008 10:42 AM

its in one of the pics, but here:

thanks.

ArtieParty 01-29-2008 10:53 AM

i think i agree with paul here. the A-package had power steering, alloy wheels, and leather wrapped steering wheel..... unless someone depowered the car and put steelies on it. although steelies could just have snow tires like i have on my car right now.

Can't attach a screen shot:

But car is base, base, base. It's also a CA model.

Braineack 01-29-2008 11:10 AM

email it to me.

Everyone does realize you can just call Mazda with the VIN number and they can give you all the details about the car regarding its optional equipment......

Braineack 01-29-2008 11:24 AM

i dont really care either way. so why bother. it has an a/c, good paint and a new top, thats about all i care about.

Ben 01-29-2008 04:50 PM

Scott, PM me with your phone number and I'll forward it to the owner of the car I was talking about. They didn't want me to give you their number :gtfo:

Braineack 02-01-2008 02:02 PM

The car is not repairable. The value is:

Base value $4900

Plus 3% sales tax of $147

Plus DMV fee of $12

Less $500 deductible of $500

TOTAL Value = $4706 plus $225 towing
Salvage Value =$1,020

NET REFUND after the buy back = $3,911

yay!

We submitted over 3k in receipts because they said it would increase the value, so I'll have the final value on Monday. Hoping making a deal on that car this weekend.
